About the role
We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to strengthen our data team. This person will be responsible for transforming raw data into reliable, scalable, and consumption-ready datasets and analytical models, supporting the creation of consistent metrics and data products.
We are looking for someone with strong experience in the analytical layer, data modeling, and medallion architecture, as well as the ability to understand business rules and translate needs into efficient analytical solutions.
We expect a profile with excellent communication skills, the ability to influence, and the ability to work closely with squads and stakeholders, helping to disseminate a data-driven culture, promote best practices, and increase the adoption and trust in data within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve analytical data models and datasets for analytical consumption and BI.
- Define and evolve the medallion architecture, ensuring consistency, traceability, and data reusability.
- Translate business needs into standardized metrics, rules, and datasets.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and reliability across layers.
- Optimize query and model performance in Databricks/Delta Lake.
- Support the adoption and correct use of datasets by consumer areas.
- Promote best practices for modeling, development, and analytical consumption.
Requirements
- Solid experience with SQL and Python.
- Practical experience with Databricks (Metric Views, Notebooks, Workflows, Databricks SQL, and Delta Lake).
- Strong experience in data modeling for analytics and building semantic layers.
- Knowledge of Spark/PySpark.
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with Git and development best practices.
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with technical and business areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power BI.
- Knowledge of orchestration tools.
- Experience with data governance, observability, and quality.
- Experience with Unity Catalog.
- Knowledge of self-service analytics and governed metrics.
- Experience in the insurance segment.
