Access and Value Strategy Manager
Purpose of the role
Lead the design and development of access strategies and value propositions for the company's strategic products and new launches, ensuring the sustainable incorporation of innovations into the Colombian healthcare system through the integration of clinical, economic, and public policy evidence, with the goal of maximizing patient access and generating value for the healthcare system.
Key responsibilities
1. Design of strategies and value propositions for new launches
- Develop access strategies for new molecules and strategic therapeutic areas.
- Build robust value propositions by integrating clinical, economic, epidemiological, and budget impact evidence.
- Identify the needs and expectations of different decision-makers within the healthcare system.
- Design differentiated strategies that allow for accelerating the adoption and sustainability of innovations.
2. Market preparation and strategic access planning
- Analyze the regulatory, financial, and political environment of the Colombian healthcare system.
- Identify barriers, risks, and opportunities for the incorporation of new technologies.
- Design engagement plans with key stakeholders in the ecosystem (Ministry of Health, ADRES, EPS, IPS, scientific societies, and payers).
- Lead scenario evaluation and strategic planning exercises for launches.
3. Strategic execution and launch leadership
- Lead the access component within multidisciplinary launch teams.
- Ensure alignment between Market Access, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Policy, pharmacoeconomics, and commercial teams.
- Ensure an effective transition of strategies to territorial teams for implementation.
- Monitor access indicators and market evolution, adjusting strategies when necessary.
Required experience
Essential
- Between 7 and 10 years of experience in market access, health economics, government affairs, strategic consulting, or related areas in the healthcare sector.
- Proven experience in designing and executing access strategies for innovative medicines.
- Participation in new product launch processes or market preparation.
- Deep knowledge of the Colombian healthcare system and its financing mechanisms.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience with healthcare sector stakeholders (Government, IPS, EPS, among others).
- Experience in multinational pharmaceutical companies.
- Participation in health technology assessment (HTA) processes.
- Experience in oncology, vaccines, rare diseases, or high-impact specialties.
- Regional experience or interaction with global teams.
Academic background
Required
- Professional degree in Medicine, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Administration, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or related fields.
- Advanced English language skills.
Desirable
- Specialization or master's degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Business Administration, Finance, or Public Policy.
