About Workfeed

What is Workfeed?

Workfeed is a Danish workforce-management software platform for shift-working teams — particularly in hospitality and other frontline industries. The founders (Rasmus Skovdal CEO, Jimmy Sørensen CFO, Kristian Emil Larsen CCO) built the product after spending their student years working hospitality jobs and experiencing the friction of unpredictable shifts and clunky spreadsheets.

Reported scale (live About page): more than 2,000 customers across 4,000+ locations, 30,000+ users in 30 countries, 8M+ shifts scheduled, 50M+ hours tracked, and over $1B of payroll exported. The product covers employee scheduling, time tracking, leave management, an employee app, engagement tools, HR & reporting, and integrations, available in 12 languages.

The studio also produces the "After Service" podcast featuring restaurant professionals — a content channel that reinforces the founders' positioning as builders who listen to the industry they serve.

Where will I work?

Workfeed describes its team as "a small team with big ambitions" — distributed across Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and the Netherlands. The legal entity is Workfeed ApS (Denmark). Specific office locations are referenced on the marketing site but no in-office mandate is stated.

What is the Workfeed team like?

The 10 publicly named team members include co-founders Rasmus Skovdal (CEO), Jimmy Sørensen (CFO), Kristian Emil Larsen (CCO), plus COO Berry van Waarden, Product Designer Anders Nielsen, Full Stack Developer Ethan Scott, Support Specialist Ivalu Nina Olsen, Customer Success Manager Marie Ditlefsen, and Product Manager Thore Elbek.

Workfeed is deliberately not venture-funded. The About page states the position plainly: "From day one, we made a deliberate choice to avoid traditional venture capital. Not because growth isn't important, but because control, focus, and long-term thinking matter more." Backers include David Heinemeier Hansson (co-founder of 37Signals), Heini Zachariassen (founder of Vivino), Thomas Riisgaard Hansen (Managing Director at DIREC Denmark), and serial entrepreneur Werner Valeur — described as "experienced founders and operators who believe in what we're building and support our direction – without steering it."

The company's two stated promises: "Continuously innovate our solution for our customers" and "Prioritize profits at the expense of our customers — we won't pursue big investments nor a big exit. We will focus solely on building a lasting and healthy company you can rely on."

Work-Life Balance

Workfeed is a bootstrapped, deliberately small Danish team with team members across Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and the Netherlands. Note: the 4-day work week and 6-weeks-vacation claims in the existing directory record are not currently published on the live workfeed.io site or any reachable careers page (which returns 404). The bootstrapped + small-team + long-term-thinking culture is well-documented; specific schedule policies should be confirmed directly with the company during interviews.
