About Wellbeing Economy Alliance

What is Wellbeing Economy Alliance?

The Wellbeing Economy Alliance (WEAll) is a global collaboration founded in 2018, bringing together over 500 organisations working to transform the economic system toward one that delivers human and ecological wellbeing. WEAll connects governments, civil society, academia, and businesses that share the vision of an economy designed to serve people and planet rather than the other way around.

WEAll's impact is substantial: the alliance engages 6 national governments (including Scotland, Iceland, New Zealand, Wales, Finland, and Canada), coordinates 88 ambassadors, and operates 17 regional hubs around the world. The organisation produces research, facilitates policy dialogue, and builds coalitions to advance the wellbeing economy agenda at local, national, and international levels.

Where will I work?

WEAll is headquartered in London, United Kingdom, but operates as a truly global organisation. The team works in a hybrid model, combining time at the London office with remote working. Given the global nature of the alliance, many team members collaborate across time zones with partners, governments, and hubs worldwide.

What is the team like?

With approximately 54 employees, WEAll is a medium-sized organisation with a diverse, international team of economists, policy researchers, campaigners, communications specialists, programme managers, and network coordinators. The team is united by a shared commitment to systemic economic change and the belief that a better economy is possible.

As a values-driven organisation, WEAll attracts people who are passionate about social and environmental justice and who want to work at the intersection of economics, policy, and movement building.

Work-Life Balance

WEAll operates a 4-day working week at 32 hours with full pay. As an organisation advocating for an economy that prioritises wellbeing, it is natural that WEAll practises what it preaches by giving its team time to rest, recharge, and pursue personal interests. The 4-day week reflects the organisation's core belief that human wellbeing should be at the centre of how we organise work and the economy.
