What is UbiOps?
UbiOps is a software platform for running AI. Its about page says the company "supports vital organizations to run and manage their private AI on any infrastructure", and its job adverts describe "a platform that enables organizations to deploy and run AI and other workloads on any infrastructure", from on-premise hardware to public clouds. The adverts say UbiOps works "with governments, enterprises, and other critical organizations", and the customer-success advert names "customers in the public sector, healthcare and critical infrastructure". The site footer says UbiOps is a trademark of Dutch Analytics B.V., and LinkedIn shows a privately held company in the 11-50 employee band with a founding year of 2020 and its headquarters in The Hague, South Holland.
Where will I work?
The headquarters is in The Hague, at Wilhelmina van Pruisenweg 104, and the about page also lists an Amsterdam office in room L2.16 at LAB42 in Science Park. All five live adverts on the Personio board are for The Hague. The four English adverts offer an "Office in an excellent location in The Hague, next to Laan van NOI train station" and "Freedom to work from the office and home and flexible working hours". Each also carries a note that the company will "only consider candidates who are currently residing and/or working in the Netherlands", so these are Netherlands-based roles. The Full-stack AI Engineer advert adds that candidates should be "Willing to travel to customers for projects within the Randstad".
What is the UbiOps team like?
The adverts describe "a growing scale-up with a young and ambitious team based in The Hague" and "a fast-paced environment where ideas move quickly and engineers have a lot of ownership". The Full-stack AI Engineer advert promises "the freedom to shape your own role and to pick up the responsibilities that add the most value to our company". The about page lists four core values: No Nonsense ("Value good ideas and arguments over position or age"), Inspire ("Be inspiring and great fun to work at"), Development ("Encourage continuous personal development") and Respect ("Be inclusive and diverse on gender, nationality and beliefs"). LinkedIn counts 31 employees, and the Personio board lists five open positions across three departments: AI Infrastructure, Customer Delivery, Success and Operations, and Product Development.
Work-Life Balance
Four English adverts, covering an AI Infrastructure Engineer, a DevOps Engineer, a Full-stack AI Engineer and a Python Software Engineer, list "Flexible working hours, good coffee, a healthy lunch and office snacks" in their "What we offer" section and repeat "Freedom to work from the office and home and flexible working hours". The wording sits in three departments: AI Infrastructure, Customer Delivery, Success and Operations, and Product Development. The adverts do not state core hours, a required overlap or a weekly hours figure. They state "25 vacation days per year (for full-time employment)". The Solution Architect advert is written in Dutch and lists "Flexibele werktijden" in the same place.
