About Twipe
What is Twipe?
Twipe is a Belgian mediatech scale-up that builds apps, digital editions, personalised triggers and analytics for newspaper publishers. Its website says Twipe is "the partner of choice for over 140 newspapers", including The Telegraph, Daily Mail, Le Monde, De Standaard, Stuttgarter Zeitung and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and that readers open its editions about 2 million times a day. The company dates its start to 2011: "Twipe is born from a challenge: Get a PDF of Flemish newspaper De Standaard on an iPad." The legal entity named in the site footer is Twipe Mobile Solutions NV, and the about page says the company is ISO 27001 certified.
Where will I work?
All seven live adverts on 6 November 2026 are for Leuven, Belgium, and the registered address in the footer is Gaston Geenslaan 8, 3001 Leuven. The careers board tags every vacancy as hybrid, but neither the board nor the adverts say how many days are spent in the office. The adverts describe a "Creative Workspace" where creativity, design, technology and fun intersect. The team serves publishers across Europe and the United States, and the vacancies are in software engineering and in sales and marketing.
What is the Twipe team like?
The about page describes a 50-person team with over 20 nationalities, and the adverts call it "a young, international team at the forefront of emerging technologies". Six values are listed on the careers page: growth mindset, innovation, passion for excellence, integrity, teamwork, and fun and excitement. Every second Friday the team holds a Wrap-up Friday to learn from demos, celebrate team achievements and enjoy themed events. Hiring is structured: after an application you may get a call with the Talent team, and the process then runs in six stages, from a culture interview and a technical case to a stakeholder interview where you meet the CEO. One engineering advert is open about on-call duty, saying "You are part of the on-call system".
Work-Life Balance
The hours wording sits in the benefits list of four of the six vacancies, across both functions: "Generous Time Off: Benefit from flexible working hours and 26 vacation days". The careers page backs the intent with one of its values, "We create an environment where people feel good, balance work with their personal lives, and find excitement in their work." What is not published is just as useful to know: there are no core hours, no stated weekly hours and no office-day count, and the two tech lead adverts carry no benefits section at all. The standing application advert repeats the line, so the flexible hours are an offer made in the adverts rather than a documented policy page.
