What is TSTC?
Total Systems Technologies Corporation (TSTC) is a government contracting firm "built on Total Service – Total Commitment®". Christine Podracky, its President and CEO, founded it in the spring of 2002; its first contract that year was for $5,000. It has worked as a prime contractor to the Department of Homeland Security and other federal entities since 2003 and has since "grown into a multi-million dollar business". TSTC is an SBA-certified woman-owned and HUBZone small business serving federal intelligence, law enforcement, civilian and defense agencies.
Its work falls into six practices: Cybersecurity & Risk Management, Data Analytics & Visualization, Intelligence & Analysis, Program & Acquisition Management, Digital Transformation & Cloud Modernization, and Financial Management & Internal Control (A-123 assessments and federal audit readiness). It holds the GSA MAS (GS-00F-081CA), GSA OASIS+, GSA POLARIS and NASA SEWP VI contract vehicles, is certified by BSI to ISO 9001, 14001, 20000-1 and 27001 (plus 27017, 27018 and 27701), is appraised at CMMI-SVC and CMMI-DEV Maturity Level 3, and is a CMMC-AB Registered Provider Organization.
Where will I work?
TSTC is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. Thirteen of its 15 open roles are full-time positions in the Washington, DC area — Washington, DC itself, Arlington, Annapolis Junction, Ashburn and Reston. The two part-time roles are reserved for people who live in a HUBZone: Part Time CMMI Audit Support is "open to 100% teleworking", and the Part-Time IT Support Assistant is 75% remote with regular office visits in Arlington. Applicants must be US citizens.
What is the TSTC team like?
The leadership team is Christine Podracky (CEO), Mark Podracky (COO/CRO) and Jolene Lewis (Director, HR and Corporate Culture). TSTC describes its network as "interns, entry level, journeyman, and experienced professionals; veterans; and military transitioning to the civilian workforce". Veterans are a particular focus: the company is Virginia Values Veterans certified, runs a platinum-award-winning veterans training program and a Veterans Service Group employee resource group, and actively recruits veterans and military spouses. Staff can join ERGs, virtual and in-person events and company contests.
Work-Life Balance
The careers page lists "Flexible Work Arrangements", paid time off and "Holiday, Wellness, and Birthday Leave". Job ads say remote work, flexible schedules and telework are allowed, though this "varies per position". The part-time HUBZone roles are W-2 hourly jobs: the IT Support Assistant works approximately 40–45 hours a month at $18–30 an hour, and CMMI Audit Support pays $20–30 an hour with no security clearance required.
