About T-Cup Studios

What is T-Cup Studios?

T-Cup Studios (T-Cup Ltd, UK Companies House 11769537) is a wellbeing data-science business based in Bath that provides organisations with accurate, holistic data on the wellbeing of their people. Founded in early 2019 by tech entrepreneur Edwyn van Rooyen (CEO), the company was born from his own search for "health, happiness and success" after exiting his previous business left him feeling flat and lacking direction. T-Cup builds three solutions using cutting-edge self-reflection technology to help measurably and sustainably improve employee wellbeing.

The central product challenge T-Cup focuses on is engagement — how to encourage employees to volunteer their wellbeing data honestly, so leaders can make informed decisions in support of happier, healthier, more productive teams. T-Cup's mission is captured in the tagline "Team Connection, Unlocking Potential."

Customers include Specsavers and Deloitte. Specsavers' Head of Technology Customer Service Neal Silverstein has said: "The T-Cup platform has been instrumental in providing us a vision for the lasting cultural change we want here at Specsavers. The implementation process has been seamless and value-driven."

T-Cup partnered with LifeSpeak (a global expert-led wellbeing content provider) in 2021 to enhance its solution, and is a member of the SETsquared Bath Innovation Centre at the University of Bath.

Where will I work?

T-Cup Studios is headquartered at 37 Great Pulteney Street, Bath, with a hybrid working pattern. The team is small (DB records ~19) and most members are based in Europe with some flexibility.

What is the T-Cup team like?

The team is described on the About page as "a collective born from diversity, driven by unity" — a blend of experts from HR, Business, Technology, Medicine and Sport. The co-founders bring complementary expertise: alongside CEO Edwyn van Rooyen, co-founders include Lee Mears (ex-England and British & Irish Lions rugby international, now an executive coach) and Dr Alistair Turner (one of the UK's most experienced leadership coaches). The combined expertise allows T-Cup to tackle wellbeing challenges with scientific rigour, practical business insight and real-world application.

T-Cup's approach is distinguished by focus on honest engagement: creating a safe, trusted environment where employees feel comfortable sharing their true experiences.
