About Social for Good

What is Social for Good?

Social for Good is a Brighton-based social media agency working exclusively with NGOs, charities, B Corps and universities. The homepage and about pages frame the mission verbatim: "We empower purpose-driven organisations to amplify and measure their impact through ethical and strategic social media." The agency operates as Social Brighton Ltd (Companies House number 10391602) and is a Certified B Corporation®.

The story begins in 2010 — verbatim from /about: "It all started in a nightclub. In 2010, while working as an operations manager in the hospitality industry, our founder Kerry Watkins had an epiphany." Kerry founded a social media blog that grew into Social Brighton. "By 2014, Kerry said goodbye to her 20-year drinks industry career and hello to Social Brighton." The agency rebranded in 2021: "That's why, in 2021, we became Social for Good, helping charities, NGOs, not-for-profits and purpose-driven businesses achieve the impact they always wanted from social media."

Since inception in 2010, Social for Good has "worked with more than 600 businesses, charities, and non-profits worldwide to reach and engage with audiences." The agency's commitment is UN-aligned: "Our mission is to drive positive social impact by supporting purpose-driven organisations whose work supports at least one of the UN SDGs."

The agency's four named values (from /careers): Challenging ("not a passive 'yes' agency"), Collaboration ("across all aspects of work to be more creative, productive and open"), Empowering ("clients and colleagues with the insight, confidence, skills and tools to maximise their impact"), and Integrity ("we stand proudly behind our work with confidence"). Service capabilities include strategy, audit reports, monthly content calendars, community management, training, paid media, and influencer programmes.

Where will I work?

The agency's office is at Projects, The Lanes, Brighton, BN1 1HW — Nile Street, central Brighton. From /careers verbatim: "Our office is at Projects, The Lanes, Brighton, but we also have the option to work from home half the week. While we have a few team members who work remotely full-time, we make it a priority to come together in person every quarter."

What is the Social for Good team like?
