What is SEF?
SEF (Sydfyns Elforsyning) is a Danish energy and utilities group based in Svendborg, on South Funen. Founded in 1906, it operates across regulated and competitive energy markets through subsidiaries covering electricity supply, EV charging, heat pumps, fibre networks and district heating.

What is the SEF team like?
SEF employs around 90 people across its group companies, spanning energy trading, fibre infrastructure and district heating. It is a long-established utility with a strong focus on corporate social responsibility and local sustainability.
Work-Life Balance
Since 1 April 2025 the SEF group has worked a four-day, 32-hour week from Monday to Thursday, on full salary, pension and holiday pay equivalent to a 37-hour week. The offices close on Fridays, with emergency cover maintained.
