Where will I work?
Rockwood is headquartered in Oakland, California, and works with leaders and movements across the United States. The team operates on a hybrid basis.
What is the team like?
A small, values-driven team of around 20 staff working in training delivery, programs, partnerships, communications and operations.
Work-Life Balance
Rockwood practises what it teaches about sustainable leadership. From Rockwood: "we've found that a wonderful way to support our staff's personal ecology is by instituting a four-day, 32-hour workweek." The four-day workweek began during the 2008 recession and has been a permanent part of how Rockwood operates ever since — staff report feeling fully rested on Mondays, being more efficient in four days than five, and getting better at prioritising and managing their time.
