About Prewave

What is Prewave?

Prewave is a Vienna software company that sells an AI-powered supplier risk management platform. Its LinkedIn page lists it as a "Technical University of Vienna Spin-off" founded in 2017 and says it combines tier-N transparency, supplier mapping, ESG standards and due diligence compliance. The job ads put the problem simply: companies often learn about supplier insolvencies, cyber attacks, factory fires or floods only once they are already a crisis, and Prewave exists to change that for customers such as BMW Group, Hilti and Lufthansa. A June 2024 press release announced a EUR 63m Series B led by Hedosophia, with existing investors Creandum, Ventech, Kompas, Speedinvest and Working Capital Fund taking part. The careers page counts 230+ team members, 45+ nationalities and 5 global hubs.

Where will I work?

The headquarters is in Vienna: LinkedIn lists the primary location as Rothschildplatz 4, 3rd Floor, 1020 Vienna. All 10 live ads on the Personio board are full-time, permanent roles listed in Vienna (the sales development ad also lists Ireland), and several ask candidates to be based in Vienna or willing to relocate. Working is hybrid. The careers page says employees can work "from our modern headquarters in Vienna, from another location, or from home", and the Product Manager ad adds that "in-office presence expected two days per week on average". The ads also list "Work from anywhere - up to 8 weeks a year." (four ads) or up to 6 weeks a year (six ads). Several roles ask for German as well as English, one asks for French, and the Customer Support ad lists German as a plus, so check the language line of each ad.

What is the Prewave team like?

Today's board spans eight functions: Customer Success, Sales (two roles), Data Intelligence (two roles), Marketing, Legal, Partner Management, Public Sector and Software Engineering. The ads describe "a resilient AI-native team" that uses tools like Claude and Gemini as a normal part of the job, with "real ownership" and room to work things out your own way. Every interview is scored against stated company values, including being an ambitious innovator, operating with urgency, doing things that make sense and collaborating with kindness. The careers page says "Our culture is built on mutual respect, openness, and collaboration." The hiring process runs from an online introduction with Talent Acquisition, through a discovery meeting with the hiring manager or a team member, to a 1-2 hour task or case study and an in-person final stage.

Work-Life Balance

Every one of the 10 live ads, across eight functions, lists "Flexible hours and hybrid working." in its package, next to the work-from-anywhere allowance, mental health support and a birthday off. The careers page frames the same policy as a "Flexibility & Hybrid Workplace" benefit: "Our hybrid, flexible working model helps you to perform at your best and maintain work-life balance." No core-hours window, start or finish time, or holiday day count is published on the careers page or in the ads.
