Born "from a Hackney shed and a frustration with boring, overpriced hardware," the business has grown into "the first B Corp certified brand in our category" and a design-driven brand with global ambitions. The product range covers cabinet hardware (knobs, handles, T-bars, backplates), light switches and sockets, lighting fixtures, hooks, and accessories, available in finishes including brass, antique brass, polished nickel, and black aluminium.
From February 2019 to September 2025, Plank Hardware reached £20m gross revenue, with £4.78m (24%) generated in the US market. Returning customer rates run at 35% (D2C) and 72% (B2B); the brand has 125,000+ social media followers and 4,000+ reviews averaging 4.7/5 on Trustpilot. The business is currently running an equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube. Annie Revill describes the next chapter: "The plan is to keep doing what we do well... a lot, with a little."
