About Outseta

What is Outseta?

Outseta is an all-in-one membership management software platform that combines payments, subscription billing, CRM, email automation, gated content, an authentication layer, and a help desk into a single integrated stack. It is built for founders running membership sites, SaaS products, online courses, associations and clubs who would otherwise stitch together half a dozen different SaaS tools. The company is a Stripe Verified Partner and GDPR compliant, with integrations across Webflow, Framer, WordPress, React, Squarespace, Carrd and Weweb.

The product is positioned as a replacement for the Hubspot + Intercom + Chargebee + Memberstack stack — and customers including content creator Justin Welsh and Ovida CEO Bryan Watson have publicly switched to it for that reason.

Where will I work?

Outseta is "fully remote — always has been, always will be." The team uses Greek Islands trips to celebrate company milestones in person, but day-to-day work happens wherever each team member chooses. There is no central office; the company is intentionally small and independent by design.

What is the Outseta team like?

The three co-founders — Dimitris Georgakopoulos (Engineering), Geoff Roberts (Marketing), and Dave Wong (Engineering) — previously built Buildium together, which scaled from start-up to $20M ARR and was acquired by RealPage in December 2019 for $580M after seven consecutive INC 5000 listings. They are joined by James Lavine (Design, Rhode Island School of Design), Bernard Chen (Engineering, who ran Buildium's engineering org for 11 years), and Pierre Havelaar (Engineering, formerly CTO of Move Work Forward, an Atlassian Platinum Marketplace Partner).

Outseta describes itself as "an experiment in organizational design" — self-managed with no bosses, operating without budgets, forecasts or performance targets, and built to keep the team small and the value to customers large.

Work-Life Balance

Every team member can choose to work anywhere from one to five days per week — and the company pays everybody the same $210,000-per-year full-time salary regardless. The stated rationale: "issues of income inequality just flew out the window." A 4-day choice is the most common reduced-hours option within this 1-to-5-day envelope. The company is explicit about putting "life profits first" — quote: "your life is more important than our business."

Perks and Benefits

Verbatim from the company page: every employee earns equity in the business at the same rate as the co-founding team, with no classes of stock and no preferential treatment given to investors. Standardised $210,000/yr full-time salary regardless of days worked. Fully remote with Greek Islands milestone retreats. Whole-person workplace — "your fears and your feelings are welcomed here." A percentage of company profits is invested in impact initiatives chosen by the team.
