About Omise
What is Omise?
Omise is a payments company founded in 2013 that sells online checkout, payment links, payment orchestration and acquiring technology to merchants, platforms and banks. Its about page says its story "began in 2013 with pioneering online payment solutions", that after "launching in Thailand in 2015" it expanded to Japan, Singapore and Malaysia, and that today it "operates across Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, and the USA". In March 2020 it introduced Omise Pro, "a professional service offering enterprises one-stop solutions, including fintech consulting, customized solutions, and platform infrastructure development". The careers page, read on 6 November 2026, counts "400 + Employees 35 + Nationalities 5 Countries", and the adverts say its solutions are used by thousands of companies including Toyota, ByteDance, SCB and BMW. One advert is written in the name of Opn, saying "Opn is powered by its payment infrastructure sister company, Omise Payment Holdings", and opn.ooo now redirects to omise.co.
Where will I work?
Omise's Thai operations are in Bangkok: the about page lists "Crystal Design Center 1448/4, J2 Building, Soi Ladprao 87, Praditmanutham Road Klongchan, Bang Kapi Bangkok 10240" first among its operational hubs, followed by Tokyo, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Atlanta. An advert says "Headquartered in Japan, with operational headquarters in Bangkok". All 18 live adverts on 6 November 2026 are in Bangkok. The adverts say "Nearly 500 employees work from our six office locations as well as remotely from home or co-working spaces", and the careers page lists "remote work options" next to flexible hours; no advert states how many days a week are spent in the office.
What is the Omise team like?
The careers page describes "a team of creative thinkers with diverse backgrounds and expertise" and says "Creativity, curiosity, and empathy are highly valued at Omise". Three engineering adverts (software engineer, associate software engineer and lead engineer) say "Omise Engineering teams have a strong focus on innovation and staying at the forefront of technological advancements", and most adverts describe "a trust-based working culture" and the core values "simple, real, and beautiful". Of the ten live adverts that carry the flexible-hours line, six are engineering roles (QA, software, lead, infrastructure, backend and AI, and cloud security), two are product roles (business analyst and technical product manager), one is a scrum master and one is operations and business support. Three of the ten belong to Omise Pro, the professional-services unit: the Scrum Master, Operations & Business Support and Associate Security Engineer adverts.
Work-Life Balance
The careers page lists a benefit called "Workplace flexibility": "Flexible working hours and remote work options to support your work-life balance". The perk "Flexible working hours" also appears in the "Why you’ll love it here" list of ten live adverts (the Talent Bank page carries it too but is a standing talent pool and does not count), across engineering, QA, product, agile delivery, security and operations. The software engineer and associate software engineer adverts add "We promote healthy work-life balance, recognizing that well-rested and satisfied employees are more productive and creative". No core hours, start or finish times, weekly hours or annual leave days are stated. The six-month contract adverts in Omise Pro and the customer-support contract advert do not carry the line.
