What is Novisto?
Novisto is a sustainability data management and reporting software company. It calls itself "the sustainability data management and reporting software of choice for global enterprises," promising that simplified collection, auditing and reporting "gives sustainability and finance teams the confidence that their disclosures are accurate and reliable."
The mission is stated directly: Novisto "exists to contribute to the sustainability of the economy, environment, and society by empowering companies to make better decisions and disclosures with investor-grade ESG data and processes." CEO and co-founder Charles Assaf frames the ambition as "to unleash ESG practitioners as changemakers — shaping resilient organizations and a more sustainable world."
The platform covers ESG data collection, management and reporting, double materiality, carbon accounting and Novisto AI, with support for frameworks including CSRD, SASB, GRI and CDP — "15,000+ Tracked ESG metrics" across "50+ Industries served." Novisto was "Founded in Montréal in 2019" and raised a US$27m Series C led by Inovia Capital in May 2025, taking it to "over $55m to date." Novisto has also acquired Minimum to launch "the industry's first end-to-end carbon & sustainability platform."
Where will I work?
Montreal is the base. Job ads pitch "a beautiful office in Old Montreal, close to downtown and steps away from a metro (subway) station." Roles are also open in Toronto and London, and the Series C announcement says "the firm aims to build a team of equal size to its North American counterpart in Europe."
The office is an option rather than a requirement. Job ads offer "flexible schedules & opportunity to work remotely," and the office is introduced with "if you prefer to work at the office." One UK role lists "Remote Work" outright.
What is the Novisto team like?
Employees are called "Novistonauts." Five values guide the culture: Honesty ("We tell and receive the truth in an environment that's built on trust, respect, and empathy"), Collaboration ("Teamwork truly makes the dream work"), Innovation ("We love bold ideas, staying inspired, and rapid iteration"), Continuous improvement ("Growth happens outside our comfort zones") and Customer success. On inclusion: "we actively champion DEI by inviting every team member to bring their authentic selves to work," with hiring run through "structured, skills-based interviews." Current openings skew commercial and product — enterprise sales, business development, customer delivery and product management — alongside in-house ESG analysts.
Work-Life Balance
Novisto publishes four time-related commitments, all verbatim: "4 weeks vacation," "Unlimited sick days," "Year-round summer hours," and, in job ads, "flexible schedules." The summer-hours line is the notable one: it is listed as a standing, year-round benefit rather than a seasonal perk, though Novisto does not publish how much it shortens the week by. The company publishes no four-day week, 32-hour week or compressed schedule anywhere on its site or job board. Uncapped sick days sit alongside, not inside, the four weeks of vacation. The office is also "Pet-friendly."
