What is Nordeus?
Nordeus is a mobile games company based in Belgrade, Serbia. Its homepage says "We are a mobile games company based in Belgrade, Serbia powering top sports games enjoyed around the world", and its press page says it was "founded in 2010". The About Us timeline records that "In June 2021, Nordeus became part of Take-Two Interactive Software" and that Nordeus "is now leading mobile sports efforts within Take-Two's Zynga label". The adverts describe Top Eleven, its football management game, as having "over 300M registered users" and Golf Rival as having "more than 60M registered users". The Living in Belgrade page says "Nordeus is home to more than 280 champions!"
Where will I work?
All eleven live adverts on the Greenhouse board are in Belgrade, and eight of them describe the role as "a hybrid, on-site position based in Belgrade". The About Us timeline says that in 2019 the company moved into a "custom-built, brand new office space - seven floors and 6000sqm of awesomeness". Six of the eight adverts that list flexible hours spell out the office rule: "Our 3+2 hybrid model remains the standard - Monday to Wednesday in the office, Thursday and Friday are optional remote days. While we prefer working together from the office, we also understand that having some alone time or working from home (or some other location) can be beneficial. It’s about what works, not what’s prescribed." People from abroad are welcome: the FAQ says "Yes, we are hiring people from all over the world" and the Senior Product Manager advert promises "full relocation support for you and your family to make your move to Belgrade smooth and comfortable". English is the working language: "We use English for all our internal communication."
What is the Nordeus team like?
The adverts describe "transparency and trust from day one, paired with a strong sense of teamwork" and "280+ teammates from around the world". The Senior Product Manager advert describes working in "multidisciplinary pods - autonomous teams with everything they need to move fast and own their outcomes". The eight adverts that state flexible hours cover four departments: Engineering & Science (Data Scientist, Senior Data Engineer), Marketing (Junior Community Specialist, Senior Community Manager, Senior User Acquisition Manager), Business (Senior Producer, Senior Product Manager) and Design (UX Designer). The FAQ lists the traits it looks for as self-starter, gritty, curious and team player, and describes the process: "After a conversation with a recruiter and a meeting with a hiring manager, most of our candidates get a task that mimics the everyday work in that role to complete." It adds "We try to have the candidate meet everyone they would be working with in a formal interview and informal coffee meeting."
Work-Life Balance
Eight of the eleven live adverts, across four departments, list flexible hours in the perks: "premium private medical insurance for you and your family, flexible working hours, take-what-you-need vacation policy". The careers FAQ answers the question "What kind of working hours do you have?" at company level: "As long as you get the job done and are able to be a team player, we empower you to work in a way that’s best for you." It says the same approach explains "unlimited vacations", and the adverts call it a "take-what-you-need vacation policy" without giving a number of days. The benefits page says "We’d love for you to decide how you balance your time. Our leave policies are customized and hassle-free. No proof is required - we work based on mutual trust!" No core hours or required overlap window are stated; the fixed point is the three office days a week described above. The two internship adverts offer something narrower, "Full-time internship with flexibility around your faculty obligations", which is not a statement about hours and is not counted here.
