What is Mixte?
Mixte Communications is a social-justice-driven PR and digital marketing agency dedicated to amplifying voices fighting for justice and healthy communities. Headquartered in San Diego with team members spread across California, Florida, New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Hawaii, and beyond, Mixte specialises in three service areas: digital marketing, public relations, and strategic communications. Campaigns aim to "disrupt harmful narratives, build strong community connections, and advocate for public health and social justice."
Mixte holds national Awards of Excellence for Best Boutique Agency and Best DEI, and the team identifies as 65% people of colour and 47% LGBTQ+ — values reflected in everything from hiring to client selection. Where will I work?
Mixte is 100% remote with a San Diego registered office at 3960 W Point Loma Blvd. #H204, San Diego, CA 92110. Team members work from California, Florida, New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Hawaii, and other US states. The remote-first culture is supported by a fully-equipped MacBook Pro setup, second screen, posture risers, monthly internet/cell reimbursement, and a WFH stipend.
What is the Mixte team like?
The team is "small but mighty" and explicitly invites BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ applicants. Work-Life Balance
Mixte runs a four-day work week with Mondays or Fridays off at full pay, plus a flexible work schedule. Vacation accrues monthly with at least two weeks for new hires (more with tenure), supplemented by two floating holidays of choice, the company-wide year-end closure between December 25 and January 1, six wellness days each year, and the day off for your birthday. Parental and family leave runs 3+ months. Compassion and space for mental health is part of the operating norm.
