What is Mapon?
Mapon is a fleet-management software company. Its adverts say "Mapon builds B2B SaaS for companies whose work happens in the physical world", with a platform that helps businesses manage vehicles, drivers and equipment. The About page dates the company to 2006: "Mapon's story started in 2006 with a simple idea: use GPS tracking to make roads safer and businesses more efficient." It describes itself as "part of the Latvian tech group Draugiem Group". The adverts add "In 2025, Mapon grew revenue by 22.8% to 24.2 million EUR while remaining profitable.", and the Join Us page says "We’re 200+ people strong across the globe". The investors page records that Mapon issued bonds in March 2024 and that they were listed on Nasdaq Riga from February 2025 to July 2026.
Where will I work?
Mapon's headquarters is in Riga: the Join Us page lists "Mapon Headquarters O. Vācieša Street 6B, Riga, Latvia, LV-1004", with branches in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Estonia, Finland, Denmark, Lithuania, Sweden and Mexico, plus a service centre and an office in Cēsis. On 6 November 2026 its Breezy board listed 13 vacancies: six in Latvia, three in Finland, one each in Denmark, Sweden and Estonia, and one remote Tech Lead whose advert lists salaries for Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia (the Breezy board location reads "Worldwide"). The Join Us page says staff can "Work fully remotely, at our branch offices, or go for a hybrid model". The adverts give the detail per country: four of the six Latvian adverts offer hybrid work from the Riga office and partly from home (for example "Hybrid work from our office at Ojāra Vācieša iela 6B"), the Lund advert asks for office attendance on four weekdays, and the Tallinn advert says "office attendance is at least 3 days per week". Four of the six Latvian adverts are bilingual, in English and Latvian; the designer advert is English only and the auto-electrician advert Latvian only.
What is the Mapon team like?
The Join Us page says "We’re 200+ people strong across the globe, but we’re united in fairness, experiments, and initiative" and "We’re not bound by strict top-down hierarchies." Three of the six Latvian adverts describe a local team of "140+ colleagues" (the accountant advert says "more than 140 colleagues") at the Riga headquarters. The open roles on 6 November 2026 include an accountant, a senior product designer, an enterprise onboarding specialist and a tech lead, plus sales and account-management roles in Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Estonia, a client-support specialist, and two hands-on roles in Latvia (an auto electrician at the service centre and a warehouse device-provisioning specialist). The hiring process in the designer advert runs through a CV and portfolio review, a pre-recorded interview, a practical task, a video interview and a background check.
Work-Life Balance
The company's Join Us page has a section on flexibility: "A morning or an evening person? Start the day at any time until 11:00 Work fully remotely, at our branch offices, or go for a hybrid model Swap hours within a week, i.e. work less one day, but more on another". The adverts repeat it: "Flexible working hours — the possibility to start your workday anytime before 11:00" in the Riga designer, Lund sales and remote tech-lead adverts, and "Flexible hours to enjoy life outside work" in the two Vantaa adverts and the Danish one (the other Finnish advert says "Flexible working hours to help balance work and life"). On 6 November 2026, 9 of the 13 adverts stated flexible hours (Latvia 3, Finland 3, Denmark 1, Sweden 1, remote 1), across finance, onboarding, product design, engineering, sales and account management. No core hours or weekly hours are stated. Time off beyond holidays includes "Day off on or within 2 months of your birthday" and, in the adverts, "Wellness days" for days when you are not feeling well, without a sick-leave certificate.
