About MainStreaming

What is MainStreaming?

MainStreaming is a Milan-based video streaming infrastructure company. Its home page says "MainStreaming is a leading provider of advanced infrastructure solutions for video streaming services and applications", and its careers page describes a "proprietary AI-powered Video Edge Network" that serves "millions of viewers across Europe". The company’s product, named in two of the adverts, is the "Intelligent Media Delivery Platform", sold to three segments listed on the site: "For Broadcasters", "For OTT Services" and "For ISPs". The home page names DAZN, RaiPlay and Stream7 as success stories. The team page says one of the founders "co-founded MainStreaming in 2016 to revolutionize video delivery and challenge traditional CDNs", and lists Indaco Venture Partners, United Ventures and Sony Innovation Fund among its investors.

Where will I work?

The registered office is "Viale Sarca n.336/F – 20126 Milan (Italy)", and the company says "MainStreaming has offices in Milan, Munich, London and San Francisco." All five vacancies on its Breezy board on 6 November 2026 are Milan roles, and two of the engineering adverts open with "For our brand-new office located in Milano Bicocca we are looking for a:". The advert texts say nothing about remote work, but the Breezy board tags the Senior Program Management Officer advert "Hybrid (Some remote, some in person)"; the other four carry no remote tag, so treat them as office-based in Milan. English is part of the job: two of the engineering adverts ask for "ENGLISH: Conversational level, you will share your time within an international Team", and the Italian-language programme management advert asks for "Inglese scritto e parlato C1 o equivalente, indispensabile" (English: written and spoken English at C1 or equivalent, essential).

What is the MainStreaming team like?

The adverts describe "a dynamic, flexible, young, tight-knit, and international environment" in a company that "values innovation, out of the box thinking, its employees". Two of the engineering adverts (backend and data, software developer) list four traits they look for: "PASSION FOR THE PRODUCT", "PROACTIVITY", "EAGERNESS TO LEARN" and "TEAMWORK", and add "we are a team, we develop and grow together". The open roles on 6 November 2026 are senior ones: a data and backend engineer working in C# and .NET, a network engineer for BGP and peering, a system engineer for Linux, Zabbix and Ceph, a senior .NET developer who leads projects, and a programme management officer in the CEO's office. The site also describes sustainability work with the claim "a total of 966 tonnes of CO₂ have been offset" and membership of the "Greening of Streaming Initiative".

Work-Life Balance

Four of the five adverts list "Flexible working hours." under "What we offer": the Senior Backend Engineer/Data Engineer, Senior Network Engineer, Senior Software Developer and Senior System Engineer adverts. The fifth, the Italian-language Senior Program Management Officer advert for the CEO Office, offers "sede Milano e flessibilità oraria" under "Cosa offriamo" (English: Milan location and flexible hours). No core hours are published, and no advert states a number of leave days or a remote-work rule. The programme management advert specifies a permanent contract, "Contratto a tempo indeterminato (CCNL Telecomunicazioni)" (English: permanent contract under the telecommunications national collective agreement).

Perks and Benefits

  • Flexible working hours, stated in all five adverts
  • Breakfast, lunch and snacks in the Milan office (three of the five adverts)
  • Access to an e-learning platform (four of the five adverts) and "A growth path aimed at improving your professionalism."
  • Salary figures published in four of the five adverts (ranges or starting-from amounts), for example "Salary Range: 38.000 - 40.000" for the backend and data engineer
  • Variable pay of 10-15% on objectives for the programme management role ("più variabile del 10–15% sugli obiettivi e benefit")
