What is Localyze?
Localyze is a Berlin-founded global-mobility technology company that builds software for HR and people teams to manage cross-border hiring, relocation, and immigration. Verbatim from the careers page: "At Localyze, we're reimagining how people cross borders for work. Together, we are solving important challenges with a global impact. Our team of Localitos, led by three female founders, is breaking down borders to make global mobility easier and more accessible."
Co-founder and CEO Hanna Marie Asmussen leads the company (Crunchbase + LinkedIn confirmed). Localyze was selected for the Y Combinator S2019 batch (per footer: "© Localyze, YC S2019"), and has scaled from "only 7 Localitos a few years ago" (per Customer Experience teammate Claudi) to "almost 100 Localitos from more than 15 unique nationalities distributed across 4 continents."

Where will I work?
Localitos work remotely across Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, the US, or Canada (eight named countries). The legal entity for UK operations is Localyze UK LTD (F202100378). International team retreats run regularly — recent destinations included Lisbon (2022) and Italy (2023).
What is the Localyze team like?
The team is called "Localitos" and embodies the diversity it helps customers manage — almost 100 people from 15 nationalities across 4 continents. Employee testimonials on the careers page name Claudi (Customer Experience), Fabrice (Revenue), and Pedro (R&D). Fabrice's reflection captures the mission alignment: "We believe in freeing talent from borders. That's why we have developed a solution that solves a real world problem and has a great impact on the world and its developments in global mobility."
Pedro adds: "The leadership has a strong focus on people, being humble, always listening to feedback. Even after growing a lot, those principles are always present. Also, having 'lived' the relocation pain, I instantly connected with the company's mission."
Work-Life Balance
Localyze offers paid time off plus all local public holidays plus an additional celebratory day off, along with parental leave for bonding with new children. The company is open to a 4-day workweek at 80% salary (per Localyze's own job-description policy) but does not default to that schedule across roles. The monthly wellness stipend and remote-flexible setup further support work-life balance.
