About Liaison Group
What is Liaison Group?
Liaison Group describes itself as "a trusted advisor and delivery partner to the NHS, specialising in recovering cash for reinvestment and freeing up time and capacity to deliver more care." It has worked with NHS leaders for over 35 years, and its stated mission is "to inspire savings for health in workforce, finance and care, through intelligence, specialists and technology."
The group is organised around three customer-facing businesses. Liaison Workforce builds technology and services for NHS workforce management, from staff banks and rostering through to payroll and people analytics. Liaison Financial recovers non-pay spend through VAT services, accounts payable reviews and telecoms audits. The continuing healthcare side helps commissioners apply the right levels of care and resource. A central Group function covers HR, marketing, finance, strategy and a growing IT department.
Where will I work?
Anywhere in the UK. "All of our employees work from the comfort of their own home," the careers site says, and the switch was permanent: "Our entire workforce has been working remotely since 2020, operating on a paperless office basis." There are now "over 400 employees based across the length and breadth of the UK."
Remote does not mean isolated. Liaison Connect provides "collaborative workspaces for co-working, to bring employees together in different geographical areas," and the whole company meets twice a year at Summer and Winter Company Days. Some client-facing roles do travel: a current Accounts Payable Advisor vacancy is advertised as "Remote 75% / Site Visits 25%," with overnight stays during review weeks.
What is the Liaison Group team like?
Roles span "Software Developers, Account Managers, Sales teams, Marketers, VAT and CHC experts," alongside payroll, client services and quality assurance teams. The values are short: "Work with Care and Honesty, to Inspire and Guide our colleagues and clients," backed by four behaviours — "be present, choose your attitude, make someone's day, and have fun."
People tend to stay. The company notes it is "proud to have employees who have worked for us for over 25 years." Connection rituals include Liaison Latte, a weekly coffee and catch-up with colleagues, and Coffee Roulette, which pairs you with someone new across the group for a virtual chat.
Work-Life Balance
Liaison is explicit that hours are open to discussion: "We realise that a 9-to-5 model doesn't suit everyone, and that priorities can change. We are happy to discuss your working needs to ensure that you can achieve a positive work/life balance." Flexible and agile working sits among the company's published wellbeing measures, along with 11 qualified Mental Health First Aiders, six-monthly wellbeing surveys, and training and communication on stress management, bereavement and counselling. Annual leave is offered but the company does not publish a day count. Every employee is paid at least the Real Living Wage.
