What is Legacy?
Legacy (legally Legacy Events Ltd) is an Oxford-based sustainable events agency and consultancy that designs, delivers and supports sustainable events across three pillars: Event Management (end-to-end design and delivery), Strategy & Training (helping teams embed sustainability into event planning and delivery), and Sourcing (responsible products, materials and suppliers). The agency's tagline is "Sustainable events done properly."
The firm was founded by Abena, a former space scientist with a background in sustainability rather than events. After more than 15 years working across architecture, engineering and social organisations, she observed that events organised by values-led organisations often failed to reflect those values in practice — and Legacy was founded to bridge that gap. Recent case studies include Luminate's Strategic Initiatives programme (where Legacy was sole event management partner), the YPO Supplier Conference 2024 (combined annual business updates with YPO's 50th Anniversary), the 100 TOGETHER conference 2024 (Oxfordshire Net Zero / Green Finance), the SEEQA quantum-computing conference at Merton College Oxford, and Spotify Hack Week 2022.
