What is LDLC?

LDLC Group is one of France's leading online retailers of computer hardware, components and high-tech products. Founded in 1996 by Laurent de la Clergerie and headquartered in Limonest, near Lyon, the group runs e-commerce brands including LDLC.com and Materiel.net, a network of physical LDLC stores (franchised and owned), a B2B arm (LDLC Pro), and ventures spanning an esports team and a tech business school. Work-Life Balance

In January 2021, LDLC moved its entire workforce to a 4-day week — 32 hours over four days with no reduction in pay — becoming the first major French company to generalise the model. Founder Laurent de la Clergerie has reported the switch improved productivity, profitability and the company's ability to attract and retain talent, and the policy has been maintained since.
