Who We Are

KnowledgeOwl is helping make the world a better place with great customer service and powerful knowledge base software.

We're a small, 100% remote software company with a core belief that business can be a force for good. We currently have 8 owls, who are all working on our single software product, KnowledgeOwl. Our mission extends beyond just building great software—we're committed to creating sustainable work practices that prioritize people and their well-being.

Our customers (and wider blog audience) come from a variety of industries and backgrounds. We design our product and content to be accessible to everyone, not just technical experts. Whether you're in healthcare, education, retail, or any other field, our knowledge base software helps you create, organize, and share information effectively with your customers and team.

We currently have 8 owls, who are all working on our single software product, KnowledgeOwl.

We're all motivated to help people, and we've designed our product and support to do just that. Each team member brings unique perspectives and expertise, contributing to both our product development and our commitment to outstanding customer service.

Working at KnowledgeOwl

We typically employ contractors, which gives both our team members and our company the flexibility to build sustainable working relationships. If you like working with us and we like working with you, we will extend your contract. As a contractor, you specify your hourly rate and schedule, giving you full control over your compensation and work-life balance. We do not offer insurance, retirement, or similar benefits. You should budget this into your hourly rate.

Most of our owls work about 25 hours per week, allowing for a healthy work-life balance and time for personal pursuits. Each team member is able to set their own schedule that overlaps with US business hours, ensuring collaboration while maintaining flexibility. No company meetings on Mondays or Fridays—we protect your time and energy for focused work!
