Who We Are

Justice Democrats is a progressive political action committee (PAC) focused on electing a new generation of Democratic leaders to represent working-class Americans rather than corporate donors.

Founded in 2017, we have successfully supported the elections of notable progressive leaders such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Ayanna Pressley. Our team operates with a mission-driven approach powered entirely by grassroots donations and a shared vision for transformative change in American politics. We don't accept corporate PAC money—our independence is what allows us to champion policies that truly serve the people.

What We Do

We work to transform the Democratic Party from within by recruiting and supporting progressive candidates nationwide. Our strategy involves running primary challengers against out-of-touch incumbents, developing comprehensive campaign strategies, and leveraging grassroots organizing to build people-powered movements.

Our campaigns focus on bold policies like the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, and comprehensive democracy reform. By building a robust and cohesive bloc of progressive leaders in Congress, we aim to push forward an agenda that addresses economic inequality, climate change, and social justice. We provide candidates with strategic support, communications expertise, and access to our extensive grassroots network of volunteers and donors.

Working at Justice Democrats

Our team at Justice Democrats is small but dedicated, consisting of approximately 10-20 passionate employees who work tirelessly to support progressive candidates and causes. Despite our size, we've helped elect dozens of progressive champions to Congress and fundamentally shifted the national conversation on issues like healthcare, climate change, and economic justice.

We have adopted a four-day workweek to promote better work-life balance and improve productivity—because we believe that taking care of our team is essential to sustaining the long-term movement building this work requires. Our remote-first approach allows our staff to work from various locations across the country, ensuring flexibility and reducing stress while staying connected to communities nationwide.

We foster an inclusive and supportive environment, encouraging collaboration and innovation in all our efforts to drive progressive change. Our work is fast-paced and mission-critical, especially during election cycles, but we're committed to maintaining a sustainable pace that prevents burnout and supports our team's well-being.
