What is Insomnia Cookies?
Insomnia Cookies is the late-night cookie delivery pioneer that "started with a big idea in a tiny dorm room" and has grown into a beloved national bakery brand. Where will I work?
Insomnia Cookies is a U.S.-based, in-person organisation. The HQ is in Philadelphia, PA (1 S Broad St). The Insomnia HQ team — split across 14 departments including Administrative, Development, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, Finance & Accounting, IT, Purchasing & Supply, Construction, Safety & Security, Training, Programming and Special Events, Real Estate, and Creative Design — supports 270+ stores nationwide. In-store roles work directly from bakery locations.
What is the Insomnia Cookies team like?
The Cookie Crew, Drivers, and Shift Leaders are "the heart of the Insomniac brand and deliver cookie magic every day. Our stores don't just bring the warm cookies. They bring the party." Field Management roles (Store Operations Managers, District Managers) provide career advancement paths into bakery leadership. The HQ runs on "entrepreneurship, big ideas, and cookies" — "we are rapidly expanding with endless room for growth."
Work-Life Balance
Four different work patterns operate across the org. Corporate teams (HQ + Field Management) work a 4×9-hour day Monday–Thursday. In-store roles follow store hours including evenings, weekends, and late-night shifts. PTO accrues at up to 40 vacation hours/year (after 1 year of service) plus 24 sick hours (varies by state law) plus two "Insomniac Days" per year — "use them to volunteer, take a mental health day, or engage with your community." Salaried employees are auto-enrolled in the Cookie Jar internal stock options program.
