What is ília?
ília (spelled with a lower-case i and an acute accent on its own website) is a Brazilian software engineering, data and AI company. Its Portuguese homepage is titled "Engenharia de software, dados e IA para negócios" (software engineering, data and AI for business) and says "+500 Ílians pelo mundo" (500+ Ílians, as it calls its staff, around the world), "+10 anos no mercado de tecnologia" (10+ years in the technology market) and "Projetos em Latam, Europa e EUA" (projects in Latin America, Europe and the USA). Its job adverts describe the company as "especialistas em tecnologia, dados e design" (specialists in technology, data and design) working "nos setores financeiro, seguros e mobilidade" (in the financial, insurance and mobility sectors). It also sells an AI platform called Marvin, which it pitches as a way to "Orquestre a engenharia de software com Agentes de IA autônomos e governados" (orchestrate software engineering with autonomous, governed AI agents).
Where will I work?
All 16 live adverts on the Greenhouse board, read on 6 November 2026, are for Brazil: 13 are listed as Brasil and 3 as São Paulo. Eight adverts say the contract is carried out remotely ("sendo executada de forma remota"). Two, the Senior Product Owner and the .NET Tech Lead, ask for a hybrid model, "modelo híbrido, com presença no escritório em Osasco – SP, de 2 a 3 vezes por semana" (a hybrid model, in the Osasco, São Paulo office two to three times a week). The postal address on the company's privacy policy is in Brasília-DF, and the careers page lists a monthly "Auxílio Home Office" (home-office allowance) for remote work costs. The remaining adverts do not state where the work is done.
What is the ília team like?
The adverts cover full stack engineering (.NET with React.js, and Java with React.js), back-end engineering in Elixir and Go, test automation, database administration, solutions architecture, product ownership and IT business analysis, plus a few corporate roles such as a Business Engineer and an accounting assistant. Several roles join client teams: four adverts are to join "uma empresa global do setor automotivo" (a global automotive company) and one is for "um cliente de grande porte da ília" (a large ília client), so this is an IT services model that also builds products and projects for banks, insurers and mobility brands. The careers page names the values "Aprendizado" (learning), "Criatividade" (creativity), "Trabalho em equipe" (teamwork) and "Senso de Protagonista" (a sense of ownership). The hiring process it lists is an application, an interview with the Talent Acquisition team, a "Tech Interview" and an offer.
Work-Life Balance
All 16 adverts, across engineering, QA, database administration, architecture, product, business analysis, project management and accounting, carry the same line under "Benefícios e Incentivos" (benefits and incentives): "Nossa contratação é CLT- 40h semanais com jornada flexível" (our hiring is on a CLT contract, 40 hours a week, with a flexible working day). Eight of them add that the work is done remotely. No core hours or start and finish times are stated. One advert, the Senior Go back-end role, adds a time-zone requirement of its own: availability in CET/CEST "com início da jornada às 6h (horário de Brasília)" (with the working day starting at 6 a.m. Brasília time), so that role is not flexible in practice. The adverts and the careers page do not state how many vacation days the company gives.
