About Grokability
What is Grokability?
Grokability is a San Diego-based software company best known as the maker of Snipe-IT, a free, open-source IT asset management system. According to Grokability's own homepage, Snipe-IT manages over 20.5 million assets and 9.9 million users for nearly 6,000 customers, with more than 12,000 commits from 330+ contributors over 13 years. The cloud-hosted product offers a 99.99% SLA uptime guarantee with servers across 12 AWS regions (Oregon, N. Virginia, Sao Paulo, Ireland, London, Frankfurt, Singapore, Seoul, Hyderabad, Cape Town, Sydney, Montreal).
Snipe-IT was created in 2013 when founder Alison Gianotto, then CTO of an ad agency in New York City, needed to inventory office assets during a move and found existing asset-tracking systems lacking. The first inventory revealed more than $25,000 of missing assets. Today Snipe-IT remains free, open-source and actively developed with releases every few weeks. The Grokability family has since expanded to include GoodForms, an ethical email-address verification service that "literally never store[s] your customers' email address on our servers". Grokability is a proud sponsor of Let's Encrypt.
Where will I work?
Grokability is "a fully-remote company, so pants aren't even required (most of the time)." The company is headquartered at 3960 West Point Loma Blvd Suite H69, San Diego, CA 92110.
