About Grant Thornton Belgium
What is Grant Thornton Belgium?
Grant Thornton Belgium is the Belgian member firm of the Grant Thornton network, providing audit, accountancy, tax and legal, and advisory services to SMEs, multinationals and public bodies. Its own site says that "From seven Belgian branches (Antwerp, Brussels, Ghent, Jumet, Kempen, Liège and Tournai), over 250 experts can assist you in the fields of audit, accountancy, tax & legal and business advice", and its careers page counts a team of over 270 experts. The Belgian company register (KBO) lists GRANT THORNTON BELGIUM, enterprise number 0474.684.049, as an active Besloten Vennootschap with its registered office at Uitbreidingstraat 72 bus 7 in Antwerp; the website's copyright line names it Grant Thornton Belgium SRL, the French abbreviation of the same legal form. The footer states that it is a member of Grant Thornton International Ltd and that each member firm is a separate legal entity, and the Belgian audit practice, Grant Thornton Bedrijfsrevisoren, is listed in the public register of the Belgian Institute of Registered Auditors at the same address. The wider network is described as "a global network of 80,000 people in member firms in 156 markets".
Where will I work?
The offices page says "Grant Thornton supports businesses in Belgium through 7 offices spread across all regions of the country." Antwerp is at Uitbreidingstraat 72 in Berchem, the Brussels office is at Medialaan 50 in Vilvoorde, and Ghent is at Amelia Earhartlaan 2 in Sint-Denijs-Westrem; there are further offices in Charleroi (Jumet), Liège, Tournai (Doornik) and Westerlo (Kempen). On 6 November 2026 the careers site listed 40 adverts: 18 in Antwerp, 13 in Brussels, 8 in Ghent and 1 in Jumet, across audit, accountancy, tax and legal, business risk services and transaction advisory. The benefits page links flexible hours to working from home: "Also combined with the possibility to work from home, you have the freedom to work in the way that suits you best." One Dutch advert (Senior Auditor) says audit work is mainly at clients: "Je werkt hoofdzakelijk bij klanten en hebt dus veel persoonlijk contact." (English: you mainly work at clients and so have a lot of personal contact).
What is the Grant Thornton Belgium team like?
The firm's team is described as a mix of generations: "All our teams are a mix of young and experienced employees". Its CLEARR values are collaboration, leadership, excellence, agility, respect and responsibility, and the careers site spells them out, for example "Collaboration: we ask for help, support our colleagues and work closely together." and "Respect: we listen to one another, show understanding and develop a trusted relationship with each other and our clients." The adverts describe "Experienced colleagues who are always ready to share their knowledge and good advice with you in our open working environment." and the careers site says "At our offices we believe great work is done together." The board covers every level from graduate hires starting in September 2026 and 2027 to managers and a tax director, and 39 of the 40 adverts promise at least 40 training hours a year.
Work-Life Balance
The careers site states the hours policy at company level: "flexible working hours allow you to shape your day around both professional responsibilities and personal priorities." The same promise appears in 39 of the 40 adverts read on 6 November 2026, in English ("You have flexible working hours and may also work from home. The how and what will be discussed with your team and clients."), in Dutch ("Flexibele werkuren in een hybride werkomgeving." - English: flexible working hours in a hybrid work environment) and in French ("Horaires flexibles et possibilité de télétravail." - English: flexible hours and the possibility of remote work). No core-hours window is stated, and 23 of those 39 adverts add that the how and what will be discussed with the team and clients. The benefits page also says "And with 33.5 days of holiday, you have time to recharge, pursue your passions, and spend quality time with your family and friends." It does not say whether that figure includes public holidays. Many adverts also list "additional holidays" without a number.
