About Geomotion Australia

What is Geomotion Australia?

Geomotion Australia is a leading provider of geotechnical and structural monitoring instrumentation and services across Australia's civil engineering, mining, railway, and road infrastructure sectors. The company was founded in 2004 as itmsoil Australia, originally distributing geotechnical products from itmsoil UK to the Asian market. In 2016 the company rebranded as Geomotion Australia (GMA) "to reflect our commitment to innovation and advanced monitoring technology."

With over 20 years of industry experience, Geomotion delivers real-time data monitoring for tunnels, railways, dams, ports, mining operations, and high-rise buildings. Major projects include the Melbourne Metro Tunnel (twin 9km rail tunnels and five underground stations), the Forrestfield-Airport Link, the Rozelle Interchange, Crown Tower at Sydney's Barangaroo, Central Station Sydney, and over two-dozen tailings dam (TSF) monitoring installations throughout Oceania.

Products include the GNSS Meter (multi-band RTK wireless surface-movement monitoring with millimetric precision), Loadsensing LS-G6 (15km long-range wireless, 10-year unattended operation), wireless tiltmeters, vibrating wire piezometers, borehole rod extensometers, and IPI in-place inclinometers.

Where will I work?

Geomotion operates from four Australian offices: Sydney HQ (Unit 9, 31-33 Chaplin Drive, Lane Cove West NSW 2066), Perth (Unit 2/34 Millrose Drive, Malaga WA 6090), Melbourne (Unit 22, 15 Earsdon Street, Yarraville VIC 3013), and Brisbane (serviced from the Sydney address). The company has international offices in Singapore and Malaysia supporting the Asia-Pacific region. Services are delivered Australia-wide.

What is the Geomotion team like?

The team's work spans skyscrapers, transport networks, railway systems, ports, and mining sites — combining geotechnical instrumentation expertise with structural health monitoring. The company describes itself as guided by six named values: Commitment to Excellence, Innovation, Integrity, Safety, Sustainability, Customer Focus, and Belief in Our People. Geomotion holds ISO certification (referenced on the about-us page).
