About Gentrack

What is Gentrack?

Gentrack builds software for utilities. On its careers page it describes itself as "a global leader in transformation for the leading energy and water utilities in the world’s most dynamic markets", working with the partners Salesforce and AWS on its g2 platform, and it says it serves "60+ customers around the globe". The careers page counts "700+ Gentrackers" across three continents, including Australia, India, New Zealand and the UK, in its utilities business, and the wider Gentrack Group also includes Veovo, "one of the world’s most exciting names in airport software", whose Solution Lead advert says it helps "airports, transport hubs and major venues understand how people move through their environments". The company publishes market announcements to the NZX and ASX, and its corporate headquarters are in Auckland, New Zealand.

Where will I work?

The corporate headquarters are at 17 Hargreaves Street, St Marys Bay, Auckland, and the careers page lists people centres in Melbourne, Auckland, London, Pune, Singapore and Riyadh. On 6 November 2026 the careers board held 17 adverts: five in London, four in Auckland, two in Vodskov (Denmark, Veovo), two in Melbourne, two roles listed as "Remote, Greece", one in Pune and one remote role in the USA. The two Greek roles, Key Account Director - Greece and Regional Sales VP – EMEA Emerging Countries, are listed as "Remote, Greece" (Pinpoint marks the account director Fully remote and the VP Hybrid), and the account director advert asks for a "minimum 2 days per week on-site presence at customer premises". The EMEA adverts offer "remote-work opportunities", while three of the six New Zealand and Australian adverts list "Hybrid working arrangements" (Pinpoint marks all six Hybrid).

What is the Gentrack team like?

The careers page says "We are one team and we play to win - join a highly collaborative and passionate team & contribute to our shared success", and its three values are respect for each other, respect for customers and respect for the planet. The open roles are mostly senior and specialist positions: regional sales and account leadership, a vice president for EMEA water, a People Experience business partner, a solution lead and a service desk analyst at Veovo, data engineering, finance and engineering leadership. The People Experience advert describes a team that works across global time zones and asks the new hire to be flexible while making sure it does not "overly compromise work-life balance". Four of the five EMEA adverts also say "We use AI to help our recruitment team review CVs and application responses against the requirements of the role."

Work-Life Balance

The careers page makes the promise at company level: "We empower Gentrackers - providing the best working environments, flexible schedules and a wellbeing focus. Extend your weekend with a 2pm finish on a Friday". Gentrack's 2022 annual report describes the same Genergy programme: "Our global program, Genergy, allows our people to work in their best way and promotes an ‘extend your weekend’, finishing at 2pm on a Friday to recharge and renew." The EMEA adverts, including both Greek roles, add "Flexible working hours and remote-work opportunities." and list 24 annual leave days, and the Veovo adverts say much the same, for example "Flexible hours and remote working" in the US sales role. Weekly hours and core hours are not stated anywhere, so the Friday finish is described here only as the company words it.
