About Gateway HR & Training

What is Gateway HR & Training?

Gateway HR & Training Ltd is a UK-based outsourced HR and training consultancy "established in 2007 by Managing Director, Emma Wynne. Her vision, to provide a professional, personable service dedicated to helping employers overcome the HR challenges that play a major role in developing a business" (verbatim, gatewayhr.com/about/who-we-are/). Skip forward to 2026 and the team has more than 70 years of combined HR, training and coaching experience.

Gateway's service lines are clearly delineated on their homepage: Crisis (immediate support and advice when something unexpected happens), Outsourced HR Services (the equivalent of an entire HR department, with packages tailored to business size and budget), Training (a diverse range of courses and qualifications), Bespoke Solutions (tailored projects for cultural shifts or change management), and Coaching (individual and team motivation and performance work). Their flagship 2026 offering is a £495 Employment Rights Act compliance package covering all the legislative changes landing in April and October 2026.

The firm differentiates itself from typical outsourced HR providers with a verbatim positioning statement: "Unlike many other outsourced HR providers, we are a real team of people working from real offices. You won't find out that we're giving you scripted advice, or that actually we're just one person working from a home office." Client testimonials on the homepage come from Thom Parker-Marrs (Thomson Broadbent), Donna Smith (Wilcox Fabrications) and Adrian Doran (BakeAway).

Where will I work?

Gateway HR is based at 4 Brisbane House, Corby Gate Business Park, Corby, Northamptonshire, NN17 5JG. The team works hybrid — based around the Corby office with occasional travel (approximately four days a month) to client sites for HR project delivery and training.

What is the Gateway HR team like?

The Who We Are page lists ten named team members organised into three functions: an HR Team (Jodie Young, Ranjit Dhillon, Charlotte Armstrong, Ashley Heeley), a Business Team (Maria Mace, David Wynne, plus Daisy Dog — the office dog), and a Learning and Development Team (Linda Coles, Tanya Lee, Emma Wynne). The culture pillars listed on the same page: values-driven, inclusive and fun, strong leadership, learning organisation, community-focused, "unlimited caffeine", social activities and events, and "importance placed on work/life balance."

Work-Life Balance

The careers page lists "4 Day Working Week" verbatim in its Benefits and Perks section, alongside 32 days annual leave and an "importance placed on work/life balance" framing in the team culture pillars.
