Who We Are

We're Flightcontrol, a Y Combinator (W22) backed company building the future of cloud deployment. As a lean team of 5, we're creating a world-class deployment developer experience (DX) that's native to AWS—combining the simplicity developers love with the power and flexibility they need.

We provide the deployment experience of a Platform-as-a-Service but without the limitations. Instead of forcing you to choose between ease-of-use and control, we give you both.

Flightcontrol fully automates deployments to your AWS account. You get the same or better developer experience than Vercel or Heroku—all without any devops work. Plus, you have full access to inspect and tweak anything without the limitations of a traditional PaaS.

Our Product

Tradditionally, developers faced an impossible choice: use a PaaS like Heroku (easy to use but a closed box with limitations and restrictions) or AWS (powerful and scalable but a royal pain to set up). With Flightcontrol, they get the best of both worlds: exceptional developer experience and full control and scalability.

Our product is so compelling that most of our users are migrating existing applications from Heroku, Render, Railway, Vercel, and from custom AWS setups.

Before you cringe at our current design, know that we are currently working with Overnice to completely overhaul our brand design, marketing site, and UI/UX. So rest assured, you'll soon have world-class brand materials to work with :)

Working at Flightcontrol

Weekly Rhythm

On Monday, depending on your timezone, you'll start your morning or afternoon with a coffee chat where everyone gathers for casual conversation. After that, you'll join our Flightcontrol planning session with the entire product team.

Tuesday is usually meeting-free, so you can focus on deep, uninterrupted work.

On Wednesday, you'll have your weekly 1-on-1 with Brandon, our CEO. This is your dedicated time to ask for what you want, bring up issues, ask hard questions, and give and receive feedback. Brandon takes feedback very seriously and is quick to make needed changes.

Thursday and Friday are reserved for deep work and focused execution.

Flexible Culture

Aside from being available 9am-12pm EST for team overlap, your work hours are flexible and up to you. Some of us work a standard 9-5 schedule while others have varying hours that fit their life.

You'll collaborate with Brandon and the team as much as needed—we believe in high-bandwidth communication when it matters and focused independence when it doesn't.

Since we're a startup, the journey from idea to building to shipping to growing is certainly a bit of a roller coaster. But we're all on the roller coaster together, learning and iterating as quickly as we can. As long as we stick to our values and show up for each other with curiosity, compassion, and collaboration, we can overcome just about anything together.

Team Rituals

Every month we have a tech-debt cleanup day to keep our codebase healthy. Every other month we host a company hackathon to explore new ideas and have fun building together.
