About ERGO Baltic
What is ERGO Baltic?
ERGO Baltic is the Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian arm of the ERGO insurance group, which its own pages describe as "part of Munich Re". The Lithuanian about page explains that "Non-life insurance solutions are provided by ERGO Insurance SE, while life and health insurance solutions are provided by ERGO Life Insurance SE company", and reports 1,200 team members and 640 000+ customers in the Baltics. ERGO Insurance SE is registered in Tallinn: the Estonian Business Register gives its address as "Harju maakond, Tallinn, Kesklinna linnaosa, Veskiposti tn 2/1, 10138", a founding date of 10 December 1990 and a branch in Lithuania registered in 2012. The same about page adds that the first private foreign-capital insurer in Lithuania was set up in 1991, that the ERGO trademark was introduced in 2001 and that the Baltic non-life companies merged into ERGO Insurance SE in 2013.
Where will I work?
The head office is at Veskiposti 2/1 in Tallinn, with offices in Riga (Skanstes iela 50) and Vilnius and smaller customer-service and branch offices, especially in Lithuanian towns such as Alytus, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Kelmė, Jonava and Ukmergė; the Lithuanian page speaks of "more than 80 customer service centres across Lithuania". The eight adverts that state flexible hours, read on 6 November 2026, are corporate roles tagged Hybrid on the careers site: six in IT (Scrum Master, IT Solution Architect, IT Project Manager and three IT Analysts), a regional Head of Brand Communications and a Baltic Learning & Development Expert. They are based in Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius, and several can be filled in any of the three. The adverts publish gross monthly salary ranges by country, for example 4500-6100 EUR in Lithuania and 3900-5400 EUR in Latvia and Estonia for the Scrum Master, and ask for a CV in English.
What is the ERGO Baltic team like?
The careers page says "At ERGO, we believe in growing together - personally and professionally" and that "Our culture is built on appreciation, responsibility, and innovation". The benefits page describes a "dynamic, forward-thinking workplace" and adds that "the dogs at the office make it even better"; the adverts mention company events, team-building activities and volunteering with one extra day off. The board has two tiers: corporate IT, HR, communications and legal roles on one side, and retail sales, phone sales, claims, call-centre and branch administration roles, mostly advertised in Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian, on the other. The flexible-hours line sits in the corporate adverts.
Work-Life Balance
Under "A flexible work environment" the benefits page lists "Hybrid work model with flexible working hours" and "Workation opportunities". Eight English adverts across IT, communications and HR repeat it as "Work in a way that suits you – hybrid work model, workations, 5 additional vacation days, and flexible start times." The same page lists "5 extra days off each year", a paid day off for a child's first school day and a paid day off for volunteering. No core-hours window or number of office days is stated, and the extra leave is given as an addition, so no total number of vacation days can be read from the pages.
