About Elawan Energy

What is Elawan Energy?

Elawan Energy is a Madrid-headquartered renewable-energy company that its own website calls "a global operator in the renewable energy industry". It describes itself as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) that offers "integrated solutions across the entire clean energy lifecycle": the promotion, development and construction of wind farms, photovoltaic plants and hydroelectric power stations, and then their operation, maintenance and the sale of the clean energy they generate. The About page dates its history from 2008, when Gestamp Wind was created and built its first wind farm; the company later rebranded to Elawan Energy, and ORIX became its majority shareholder in 2021. Its homepage says it operates "a total capacity of 2.4 GW", and its 2025 Sustainability Report states that it had 217 employees on 31 December 2025.

Where will I work?

Headquarters are at 3 Ombú Street, 6th Floor, 28045 Madrid, Spain. The 2025 Sustainability Report says "Although we have offices in 12 countries worldwide, Spain is home to the majority of our employees, accounting for 65% of the total." On 6 November 2026 the Personio careers board listed seven live ads: five in Madrid and two in Mexico (an Office Manager & Project Assistant and a Project Developer). The two Mexican ads carry no description text, so they say nothing about hours. The Madrid ads are written in English and ask for a high level of English, and neither the ads nor the Talent page say whether the work is office-based, hybrid or remote, so the remote policy is unknown. The O&M Engineer ad adds that occasional travel to the company's sites is required.

What is the Elawan Energy team like?

The five Madrid ads that state the hours policy span five functions: an Energy Resource Analyst in the Technical Office (measurement campaigns, micro-siting and energy yield assessments), a Financial Consolidation & Audit Analyst in Finance (two years of Big 4 or similar external audit), an O&M Engineer in Operations (asset management for an international portfolio), an Office Manager in Human Resources (support for the CEO, suppliers and corporate events) and a Revenue Management & PPA Origination Associate, who supports commercial strategy and revenues across the renewable portfolio and needs 2 to 4 years in the energy sector. The Talent page says "At Elawan Energy, people are our energy. We are a global, diverse, and committed team, where every voice matters and every idea counts." One employee quoted there, an M&A and Structured Finance Analyst, writes "At Elawan Energy they trust you from day one." The ads add that "Among Elawan Energy's values we would like to underline tenacity and trust as a strong element in our values and practices."

Work-Life Balance

Five of the seven live ads, covering the Technical Office, Finance, Operations, Human Resources and Revenue Management functions in Madrid, list "Flexible working hours." in their "Why us?" section, next to "Flexible compensation plan." The wording is a one-line benefit: no core hours, start or finish times, or number of flexible days are stated, and the ads do not describe the length of the working week. The ads do not give annual leave days either. The 2025 Sustainability Report says the company ensures "equal access to maternity, paternity, and other work-life balance rights" and that all 217 employees were entitled to parental leave "in accordance with the regulations in force in each of the countries where we operate", so the leave it describes is the statutory one.

Perks and Benefits

  • Fresh fruit twice a week at the Madrid offices (2025 Sustainability Report)
