About Ecobio
What is Ecobio?
Ecobio calls itself "a Finnish sustainability consulting and technology company". Its About page says it has specialised in corporate sustainability since 1989 and that it offers consulting services plus Ecobio Manager, "an advanced SaaS for managing corporate sustainability". The consultancy side covers life cycle assessments, environmental product declarations, ESG reporting, environmental impact assessments and nature surveys, and its customers include energy, machinery and other manufacturing companies, ports, universities and the public sector. The SaaS platform "helps organizations manage regulatory compliance, chemical safety, risk assessments, sustainability reporting, and carbon footprint calculations". The founder, Sanna Perkiö, writes "My dream is to create environmental solutions that also make business sense."
Where will I work?
The office is in Kamppi, Helsinki: the contact page gives one address, "Runeberginkatu 5, 8th floor , 00100 Helsinki", and the careers page says "Our office is in Kamppi, in the centrum of Helsinki. We also have colleagues working in other cities such as Tampere, Turku and Hämeenlinna." On 6 November 2026 the Teamtailor careers site listed five adverts, all in Finland and all tagged Hybrid: a Full Stack Developer for the Ecobio Manager team (Helsinki), a Data and AI Lead for Corporate Sustainability (Espoo, Helsinki or Vantaa; the advert asks for applications by 15 October 2026, a date that has passed) and three open-application pages (a Finnish one for experienced nature surveyors for the 2027 field season, and an English and a Finnish general application covering consultants and analysts, the SaaS team and nature surveyors). The adverts do not say how many days a week are spent in the office, so ask at interview.
What is the Ecobio team like?
The careers page says "We are a group of 55+ experts full of energy and versatile knowledge" and its fact box lists 55 coworkers (read on 6 November 2026). The About page calls the working community "international and multilingual", with "Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, German, and Danish as mother tongues". Consultants work in six service-package teams, from sustainability for top management and climate and energy to biodiversity, site permits, chemicals and sustainable products. On the software side, the Full Stack Developer advert describes "a small, highly skilled team" working with ".NET, C#, React, and Azure", with English as the team's working language and Finnish an advantage; the Data and AI Lead advert starts "as a key member in our innovative Business Finland project". The company's stated values are trust, visionary and sustainable growth.
Work-Life Balance
The hours wording is a company-level statement and also appears in both live vacancies. The English careers page says "In addition, we work remotely using a flexible working time model.", and the Finnish original reads "Lisäksi teemme työtä joustavasti etänä liukuvan työaikamallin puitteissa." (English: in addition we work flexibly from a distance within a sliding working-time model, the Finnish term for flexitime). The Full Stack Developer advert lists "Flexibility: Flexible working hours and remote work opportunities." and the Data and AI Lead advert says "We support flexible working hours and remote work". No core hours, weekly hours, office-day count or number of vacation days is stated on any page or advert read, so confirm those with the recruiter before accepting an offer.
