What is Earth Science Partnership?

Earth Science Partnership (ESP) is a UK consultancy of engineers, geologists and applied environmental scientists, trading since 1995 from Taff's Well, just outside Cardiff in South Wales. The team brings combined experience exceeding 150 years across ground engineering, land development and remediation in the UK and overseas. Services include Engineering Geology, Site Investigation, Contaminated Land Risk Assessment, Geotechnical Engineering, Coal Mining Risk Assessment, Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), Hydrogeology, Flood Risk Assessment, Environmental Impact Assessment, Railway Geotechnics, Expert Witness Work and Geothermal Heating.

Staff are accredited to industry standards: Chartered Geologists, Chartered Engineers, RoGEP and CL:AiRE specialists. Recent project work covers the Former Chubb Factory site in Ferndale, road deformation assessment in Port Talbot, coal-mining legacy work in Caerphilly, the Godre'graig School landslide-risk assessment in Lower Swansea Valley, and the Cross Hands Economic Link Road.

Where will I work?

ESP's Head Office is at 33 Cardiff Road, Taff's Well, Cardiff, CF15 7RB, with project delivery across the UK. The team works a blended pattern — a mix of home, office and site/field-based delivery — supported by a flexi-time system. Engineering Geologists travel for regular field visits, sometimes at short notice.
