About Docplanner
What is Docplanner?
Docplanner Group describes itself as "creating a healthcare ecosystem that seamlessly connects patients with doctors while integrating smart tools to provide quicker, more precise diagnoses and treatments". Its adverts say "we connect 24 million patients with 280k doctors across 13 countries" through brands such as ZnanyLekarz, Doctoralia, MioDottore, DoktorTakvimi and jameda, and that its marketplaces, SaaS and AI tools help doctors, clinics and hospitals work more efficiently. The careers site says "More than 2800 team mates" work from 11 offices (newer adverts say "3,000+ employees"). Tech.eu reports the company was "Founded in Poland in 2012" and raised an €80 million round led by One Peak Partners and Goldman Sachs Private Capital Investing, which brought total funding at that time to "some €130 million". The live Ashby board has 48 roles: 42 under the Docplanner entity plus Doctoralia Spain (3), Feegow (2) and MyDr (1). They cover engineering and engineering management, security and platform, product management and design, pricing, marketing, data analytics, customer success and care, and strategy.
Where will I work?
The careers site lists "offices in Amsterdam (HQ), Warsaw, Barcelona, Berlin, Istanbul, Rome, Rio, Bologna, Mexico City and Curitiba"; Wikipedia's ZnanyLekarz article describes Docplanner as based in Warsaw, and no live advert is in Amsterdam. The live adverts are tagged Barcelona or Spain (25), Warsaw or elsewhere in Poland (15), Brazil (6) and Istanbul (2). Most engineering and product adverts are titled "100% Remote within Spain" or "100% Remote within Poland", and their benefits read "Remote or hybrid work model with our hub in Barcelona" (or Warsaw). The Spanish adverts add "not coming to the office at all if you prefer not to, as we're 100% remote friendly". Other adverts say "You're welcome at any of our hubs" and name Barcelona, Warsaw, Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City and more. One caution: the Global Pricing Specialist role is listed nine times under different cities but each advert says "This role is remote within Brazil".
What is the Docplanner team like?
The careers page lists five values: Focus on results, Keep it simple and lean, Learn and Be Curious, Think like an owner, and Be respectful and radically honest, and says "We move fast, collaborate, grow together, and try to keep things simple." The adverts describe an organisation that is "3,000+ employees, but still fast, flexible, and hands-on", and the engineering adverts say "we are a diverse group of over 300 people working in Engineering, Data, and Product teams". The Payments engineering manager advert states "AI-native development is already how we build software." The hiring process, according to an advert, "usually" starts with an intro chat and then includes an online assessment, a take-home business case and a hiring manager interview, though it "might vary slightly depending on the role". Free English and Spanish classes are offered in the Spanish and Polish adverts.
Work-Life Balance
Flexible hours are stated in 42 of the 48 live adverts, in two wordings. Engineering, security, product, design and SEO adverts (19, in Spain and Poland) say "Flexible working hours (fully flexible, as in most cases you only have to be on a couple of meetings weekly)." Adverts for pricing, marketing, data, customer success, project management and strategy roles (23) say "Remote work and flexible hours aren't just buzzwords here. While the extent of flexibility depends on your role and team, we value results over rigid schedules." The careers page adds the value "Results, not tasks. Patients and Doctors need value, not clocked hours." No core-hours window is published. The six adverts without the wording are the two Istanbul engineering roles, the two Feegow (Brazil) roles, a freelance data annotation role and one clinical product lead. Feegow states "Our working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9am to 6pm." On time off, the Spanish adverts list "23 paid holidays, with exchangeable local bank holidays" plus a "Summer intensive schedule during July and August (work 7 hours, finish earlier)", and the Polish adverts list "20/26 days of paid time off (depending on your contract)".
