About CyberCoach

Who we are

CyberCoach is a Finnish cybersecurity training platform developed by Cult Security, founded in 2019 and based in Helsinki. The team describes CyberCoach as "the only psychologically safe platform built to strengthen compliance and reduce human risk in the age of AI." The leadership team is led by CEO Maria Bique, alongside Chief Growth Officer Juulia Hellgren, Chief Technology Officer Mikko Toivanen, and Chief Solutions Officer Teemu Turunen.

The team describes itself as "a fast-growing diverse team of international professionals" — a deliberate choice grounded in the belief that "building a security app that works for everyone requires a team that looks like everyone."

What we do

CyberCoach delivers cybersecurity training where employees already work — through Microsoft Teams, Slack, or a browser. The platform combines security awareness modules, phishing simulations, AI security and compliance training, developer-focused secure coding training, role-based learning, and custom content creation.

Customers include the City of Helsinki, MavenBlue, SRF, Virta, iLOQ, and Finnlines — organisations across financial services, technology, and the public sector.

How we work — the 30-hour week

In March 2023, CyberCoach (then trading as Cult) formalised its 4-day work week — defined in Finland as 30 hours per week, not 32. The blog post that introduced the policy explained: "30 hours a week (that is a 4-day week in Finland)."

What makes the CyberCoach approach unusual is the genuine flexibility built in. Employees can "choose to split your 30 hours a week...in 4 days or make shorter days throughout the 5 days of the week." Teams agree together on necessary meeting times, and individuals plan their remaining hours. As one team member put it: "The flexibility...has been hugely life-enhancing. It has allowed me to spend time with family, keep up with hobbies and commitments, and come to work with energy and focus."

The framing is values-led: "challenge what a cybersecurity startup does and looks like" while believing that "we get better results with happy people."

Where will I work?

CyberCoach is based in Helsinki, Finland, but the Growth Team is "international, fully remote." The team works across multiple time zones with the same 30-hour-week structure.
