Founded in 2012 at Stanford University, CareMessage is a nonprofit organization focused on using technology to improve healthcare for underserved populations across the United States. We specialize in patient engagement technologies that help healthcare providers improve communication, care, and outcomes for patients in low-income communities.

With a mission rooted in health equity, we're committed to ensuring that everyone—regardless of income or background—has access to the care and support they need to live healthier lives.

What We Do

CareMessage provides a platform that enables healthcare organizations to communicate with patients using technology-driven solutions effectively. Our tools are designed to enhance patient access to healthcare services, improve treatment adherence, and manage chronic diseases more effectively by facilitating better communication between patients and healthcare providers.

Our platform serves safety-net healthcare organizations, community health centers, and clinics that care for millions of patients nationwide. Through text messaging, voice, and other digital channels, we help bridge the communication gap between providers and patients, delivering appointment reminders, health education, medication adherence support, and more.
