What is Brick Media?
Brick Media is a Tampa-based social media management agency founded in 2018 by CEO Jake Kurtz. The team helps established brands navigate the fast-paced world of social media — strategy development, content creation, posting, community management, and analytics across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and more. The approach is bespoke rather than cookie-cutter: every strategy is tailored to the unique needs and objectives of each brand.
In early 2023, Brick Media became one of the first US social agencies to adopt a permanent 4-day workweek. The pilot ran from January 1 to March 31 2023, after which the policy was made permanent. Press coverage during and after the pilot included the Tampa Bay Times, Bay News 9, WFLA (Bloom TV), WTSP (Channel 10 Tampa Bay), ABC Action News Florida, and 99.5 QYK.
Where will I work?
Brick Media is "mostly a remote team, with only one required day in the office per week" — the office is in Tampa, FL. Roles are filled domestically.
What is the Brick Media team like?
The team consists of account managers, social media managers, photographers, videographers, production assistants, growth & operations specialists, and leadership — including Director of Client Experience and CEO Jake Kurtz. Work-Life Balance
Brick Media operates a permanent 4-day workweek — "At Brick Media, our work week is always Monday through Thursday." The pilot showed every team member preferred the new schedule, no clients were lost during the test, and the business grew 20-30% during the announcement period. Full-time team members get unlimited paid time off. Jake Kurtz first proposed the idea internally in December 2022, announced it to staff and the client base, and then ran the 3-month pilot.
