What is BJP Consulting Group?
BJP Consulting Group Ltd is an award-winning building services and low carbon design engineering consultancy based in Stratton-on-the-Fosse (BA3 4QF), near Bath in Somerset. Founded in 1989, BJP specialises in Mechanical and Electrical Services and has built a 37-year record of providing intelligent engineering design and innovative solutions to clients across the UK.
The practice is passionate about creating low Carbon design solutions for a variety of projects including factories, offices, hospitals, schools, listed buildings, swimming pools, hotels and leisure facilities. Recent notable projects include the complete refurbishment of Marlwood School (science rooms, food technology, art, resistant materials, graphics/textiles and teaching areas), The Newt in Somerset (a vast country Estate featuring a Georgian Grade II Listed Hotel and new Spa Facility), and a biofuels heating project at Highgrove.
Where will I work?
BJP is based at The Well House, Manor Courtyard, Stratton-on-the-Fosse, Bath BA3 4QF — a "picturesque location" near Bath. The current Intermediate/Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role is based at this office. Remote working is available "when needed," but BJP is an office-anchored practice with a "convivial office atmosphere" that the firm describes as central to fitting in and thriving.
What is the BJP team like?
BJP is a small, tight-knit practice of around 10 named team members across engineering and operations, led by directors Richard Taylor, Anthony Crosbie and Ben Gudzelak. Associate Patrick Hicks works alongside Consultant Engineer Jonathan Cooper, Senior Mechanical Engineer John Robarts, Marketing/Bid Designer Elise Grimshaw, Office/QA Manager Lorraine Brown and I.T. Manager Paul Gilson. The firm values "excellent communication, innovation, collaboration, high ethical standards, and a proactive approach" — and operates an ISO 9001 quality management system.
Work-Life Balance
