What is Azumuta?
Azumuta is a Ghent-based software company. Its own description is "Azumuta is a connected worker platform for manufacturing. Digital work instructions, quality management, skills matrix and training, and light MES, for mid-market and enterprise manufacturers". The company page says it started in 2016, counts about 100 manufacturers on the platform and customers in 30+ countries, and lists three offices (Ghent, Detroit and Paris) and a €8M Series A in November 2025. Its stated mission is to turn human know-how into scalable process, and its stated vision is one set of instructions for people, AI and robots. The company page names Batist Leman as co-founder and CEO.
Where will I work?
The headquarters are in Ghent, at Jozef Kluyskensstraat 29, with a North America office in Detroit and a France office at Station F in Paris. Nine of the ten live adverts are Ghent roles, tagged hybrid, and six of them state "please note, this is not a remote position!". One advert is for a French-market Account Executive based in Paris, listed as remote or hybrid. The careers section of the company page says "Hybrid from Ghent or Paris." One Ghent advert mentions the new office at Campus Rommelaere. Language requirements vary: the Technical Account Manager role asks for fluent Dutch, English and French, and the France role asks for fluent English and French.
What is the Azumuta team like?
Azumuta describes itself as a small team: in the Head of Marketing advert it says "We're a small team doing big things in a market that's ready for it". Its Recruitee careers page sums up the culture in a few short lines: "Heavy industry, light touch. Ask one more question than you need to." and "Feedback here is a gift, not a risk. See it, own it, move it. No permission needed." The adverts promise real ownership and an ambitious international team with "endless learning and growth opportunities", plus regular team-building activities. The open roles are senior and specialist: the Technical Account Manager and France Account Executive adverts both ask for 5+ years of experience, and the engineering roles are a Product engineer and a Principal engineer. A general open-application advert also mentions Customer Success Manager, Full Stack Developer and Sales Development Representative roles.
Work-Life Balance
Six of the Ghent adverts, across customer success, marketing, engineering and sales roles, carry the same line under the heading Flexibility & balance: "Flexible hours with in-office collaboration (please note, this is not a remote position!)". The France advert says "Hybrid or remote work, with flexible working hours". No core hours, weekly-hours figure or leave allowance is stated, and the Ghent roles are explicitly not remote, so expect a hybrid, in-office-collaboration pattern with flexibility over when you work. The Product Designer advert, which does not carry the flexible-hours line, instead stresses an in-office culture at the new Ghent office.
