What is AMPECO?
AMPECO is a software company for EV charging. Its About page calls it "a pure software company, singularly focused on building the platform and expertise EV charging providers need to run complex businesses at scale", and its careers page says "We accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles by building software solutions that simplify the management of EV infrastructure and charging." On 6 November 2026 the About page showed "300K+" charge points managed, "70+" markets, 2018 as the founding year and "200+" people. In a post on its own blog dated 26 November 2024, AMPECO wrote that it had "raised $26 million in Series B funding, led by Revaia" and that the round brought "total funding to $42 million".
Where will I work?
AMPECO's headquarters is in Sofia, Bulgaria: the careers page says "From our Sofia headquarters to London, Paris, Arnhem and Dover – plus remote-first roles right across our markets." Its offices also include London, Paris, Arnhem, Washington DC (business development) and Kuala Lumpur. The Sofia adverts are listed as hybrid or remote, and the AI-Native Engineer advert says "This role is remote, with the option to work from one of our Sofia-based offices whenever you like." The careers page lists "Flexibility to work from home or our offices". Other current openings are in the United States, Norway, Brazil, Germany and France.
What is the AMPECO team like?
The careers page says "People at AMPECO work exceptionally well together because we share the same values and perspectives on what great work looks like." Its listed values are Results-Oriented, Growth Mindset, and Transparency & Collaboration. The engineering advert describes an AI-native process in which engineers direct the work and hold the final approval, and the Sofia roles cover account management, platform adoption, technical support, DevOps and software development. The adverts add "Our interview process is entirely remote." and "Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted."
Work-Life Balance
"Flexible working hours" is listed under what AMPECO offers in the Account Delivery Manager, Platform Adoption Expert and Technical Support Engineer adverts, "Flexible work hours" appears in the Senior DevOps Engineer advert, and the AI-Native Engineer advert says "We offer flexible work hours". That covers all five open roles in Sofia, in five different functions. The adverts for the other countries do not mention flexible hours (the United States advert says "Flexible work environment", and the German and French adverts offer flexibility to work from anywhere in their country), so the hours wording is specific to the Sofia headquarters roles. No core hours are stated. For time off, the careers page lists "Bonus day off for your birthday + extra 5 vacation days after your first year".
