About Alder Hey Children's Charity
What is Alder Hey Children's Charity?
Alder Hey Children's Charity raises vital funds to help make Alder Hey Children's Hospital and Healthcare Campus a world-class, patient-friendly Trust for the 450,000 children and young people it cares for every year — funding life-saving equipment, hospital play programmes, research and ward improvements.
Where will I work?

What is the Alder Hey Children's Charity team like?
A fundraising, grants, marketing and retail team of under a hundred people working alongside one of Europe's busiest children's hospitals.
Work-Life Balance
The charity's job listings state it verbatim: "In April 2025, the charity adopted a four-day working week policy, meaning staff previously working 37.5 hours a week are now working 30 hours a week" — "maintaining full pay while supporting a better work-life balance." The 4 Day Week Foundation accredited it at Gold standard in July 2026.
