Product Designer

4 × 8hr days€3,400 – €5,000/moHybrid · Eersel, Netherlands

As a Product Designer at Nmbrs, you ensure that our software not only works well, but also feels logical and looks polished. With your strong visual eye and knowledge of UX, you translate user needs into clear, intuitive designs. Together with developers, Product Owners, and colleagues in marketing and sales, you work on a consistent user experience and visual identity. In doing so, you are constantly looking for opportunities to make our design process and our products smarter, including through the use of AI.

Time to grow. Time to thrive.

We are Nmbrs. We create smart business software that removes unnecessary complexity for SME entrepreneurs and the professionals who support them. Nmbrs brings together four established product organizations—Payroll, Accounting, Invoicing, and Reporting—with teams in the Netherlands, Sweden, and Portugal.

We are one brand with a shared ambition, while continuing to work from the expertise and strength of our own organizations. We join forces where it makes sense and keep teams, expertise, and decision-making close together.

For this position, you will work at Nmbrs Invoicing in Eersel. You will work closely with your immediate colleagues at this location and with our colleagues in Portugal, while simultaneously being part of the broader Nmbrs organization.

Your role

As a Product Designer, you are responsible for designing user-friendly and visually strong interfaces for our invoicing and administration product. You translate UX insights and user feedback into designs that entrepreneurs and accountants can work with immediately.

You work within a multidisciplinary product team with developers, Product Owners, and colleagues in Portugal. The team works according to Scrum, in two-week sprints. You join planning sessions, contribute ideas for new features, and constantly test your designs against real user needs. In addition, you work closely with marketing and sales to safeguard our visual identity across various channels.

Specifically, you will:

  • Design user interfaces for our product, in close collaboration with developers and Product Owners.

  • Translate UX insights and user feedback into clear, intuitive, and visually strong designs and actively contribute ideas for improvements in the user experience.

  • Safeguard and further develop our brand guidelines and house style, so that Nmbrs is presented recognizably and consistently everywhere.

  • Create visual assets for marketing and sales, such as landing pages, social media content, and campaign images, while maintaining brand consistency across different channels.

  • Research how AI tools can make your design workflow smarter and faster, and contribute ideas on how AI can have a valuable place in our products.

Your impact

Through your work, you ensure that our software is simple, intuitive, and pleasant to use. You combine a strong sense of visual design with insight into what users need, so that new features not only work well technically, but also feel logical and look polished.

For example, when the product team is working on a new feature, you translate user insights and feedback into a design that developers can work with effectively. By collaborating closely during the process and testing your designs against user needs, you help the team make choices that genuinely improve the user experience.

In addition, you contribute to a recognizable and consistent Nmbrs brand. From the interface of our product to a landing page or campaign image: your work helps ensure that our visual identity is correct everywhere. With your curiosity about AI, you also help discover new possibilities to make both our design process and our products smarter.

Your profile

You are an experienced Product Designer with a strong visual eye and a good understanding of user-centered design. You have an eye for color, typography, composition, and detail, and know how to translate this into designs that are both functional and visually strong.

  • You have a completed degree in IMD, CMD, or a graphic design program and at least 5 years of work experience in product design, UI/UX design, or a similar role.

  • You have demonstrable experience with designing user interfaces, for example in Figma or similar tools, and have an affinity for UX principles and user-centered design.

  • You have an excellent eye for color, typography, and composition and a strong sense of visual identity and brand consistency.

  • You have strong communication skills, work independently, and switch easily between the product team, marketing, and sales, actively seeking collaboration.

  • You have a strong AI mindset: you are curious about AI tools and see opportunities to use them to make your work and our products smarter.

When applying, we would like to receive a portfolio in which your visual work and design skills are well represented.

You do not have to check every single box. Do you recognize yourself in the role and do you think you can make an impact? Then we would love to hear from you.
