Job Description
The Treasury department is at the heart of the operation's financial decisions: on one hand, it sustains cash predictability in a business with a complex flow of settlement, Float, and receivables; on the other, it models the impact of every strategic move before it becomes reality. The Treasury Manager is responsible for all of this - from day-to-day operations to the long-term projections that support board planning.
Responsibilities
Cash and liquidity management: daily monitoring of operational Float, liquidity position, and account management in the payment ecosystem (payment accounts, settlement accounts, transit accounts between PIs, card schemes, and acquirers).
Projections and financial modeling: construction and continuous evolution of cash flow models (short, medium, and long term), incorporating variables such as TPV, card scheme mix, settlement terms, seasonality, and portfolio growth. Ability to create new models for unmapped scenarios - product expansion, regulatory changes, new payment arrangements.
Financial exposure and risk management: mapping and mitigating liquidity risks, foreign exchange (where applicable), counterparty concentration, and exposure to chargebacks at scale.
Institutional relations: interface with settlement banks, custodians, credit partners, and Bacen - including regulatory reporting according to PI regulations (Circular 3.885 and related).
Funding and capital raising: evaluation and structuring of credit lines, ARV (Seller Receivables Anticipation) instruments, and funding alternatives compatible with the business model.
Rituals and governance: construction of treasury management reports, participation in the FCST/BDGT cycle, and support to the board in P&L analyses with cash impact.
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related fields. A postgraduate degree or MBA is a plus, not a requirement.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate treasury, with at least 2 years in payment companies, fintechs, or digital banks. Knowledge of the payment arrangement ecosystem in Brazil (Pix, card, D+X settlement, role of PIs before Bacen) is mandatory.
- Advanced mastery of financial modeling - must be able to build from scratch, not just fill in templates. Expert-level Excel/Sheets and, preferably, comfortable with BI tools or analysis languages (Python, SQL).
- Hybrid profile: able to close the daily cash position and, on the same day, deliver a sensitivity analysis for a liquidity stress scenario. Does not outsource operational tasks nor get lost in them.
- Objective communication with the board and C-level: translates numbers into decisions, without fluff.
