For our site in Haarlem, we are looking for a Technician

Welcome to our team

Our team consists of about 10 people, all Technicians with varying levels of experience who are happy to show a new colleague the ropes. The team is responsible for the technical condition of the machine park. We handle acute malfunctions, preventive maintenance, and support technical improvement projects. This ranges from small projects to larger, more complex issues. It is a close-knit and very collegial team; we support one another. You will work closely with the operators and the operational coaches who manage the operators.

About the role

As a technician, you are responsible for keeping the machine park in good condition. In doing so, you are an essential link in delivering the correct, high-quality medicines that improve the lives of others. You are the specialist in the field of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or control engineering, and you always know whether the technical condition of the equipment is in order. In this role, you will work in a 3-shift rotation, with the following working hours:

  • Morning shift: 06:30 – 15:00
  • Afternoon shift: 15:00 – 23:00
  • Night shift: 23:00 – 06:30

Tasks and responsibilities

Your duties include, among other things:

  • Analyzing and resolving technical malfunctions on all production, packaging, and peripheral equipment, as well as building management systems.
  • Engaging external specialists when necessary.
  • Executing or supervising maintenance work, including inspections, calibrations, routine validations, and qualification processes. You ensure correct and complete documentation and reporting.
  • Proposing technical improvements and subsequently realizing them in collaboration with the Reliability Engineer. In doing so, you also prepare the necessary documentation.

Your profile

  • A diploma at MBO level 4 in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with secondary knowledge of Electrical Engineering.
  • Preferably additional vocational certifications such as VCA, NEN3140, Electrical Switching, or Industrial Automation.
  • You preferably have a few years of work experience; pharmaceutical or food industry experience is a plus, but even with a fresh MBO-4 diploma in your pocket, you are very welcome to come and learn a trade here in an interesting work environment.
  • You are good at solving problems independently, but are also able to spar with your colleagues.
  • You have a good command of the Dutch language, both verbally and in writing.
