We are a global team with diverse expertise in keyword research, technical SEO, content strategy, outreach, engineering, data analytics, design, and operations. By combining proven global SEO frameworks with local market insights from each country, we are driving Canva's global growth.

Position Introduction

Canva's SEO is world-class. We are looking for an SEO Content Specialist who will directly build growth through content in the Korean market. This is a permanent position, and it is a good fit for someone who deeply understands the Naver ecosystem and can strategically create content that truly helps Korean users.

You will personally run the Naver Blog, take responsibility for both content quality and performance, and lead a team of freelance copywriters while driving a content strategy unique to the Korean market. This role is not just about 'making' content, but about directly building the link that turns content into real business growth.

Native-level Korean language skills, a deep understanding of Naver, and experience leading a content team would be a bonus.

Main Responsibilities

Naver Content & Ecosystem Management

  • Take full ownership of Canva's Naver Blog as a core organic channel, with responsibility for editorial quality, consistency, and overall performance.

  • Build and manage a strategic editorial calendar that reflects keyword research and the characteristics of the Naver platform.

  • Plan, write, and publish Korean-language content that is easily discovered on Naver while providing real value to users.

  • Expand Canva's organic presence beyond the Naver Blog to other Naver channels such as Naver Café, Knowledge iN, and video.

  • Manage comments and community responses to build trust in Canva and brand awareness.

  • Continuously analyze content performance and visibility, and keep evolving the editorial strategy based on data.

Website Content & Optimization

  • Lead the content direction for landing pages and blog articles, and contribute to long-term content strategy.

  • Identify keyword opportunities and content gaps that can increase Canva's traffic share in the Korean market.

  • Directly write and edit SEO-optimized content on a range of design topics that resonate with Korean users.

  • Upload and publish content that meets the latest SEO standards and the local tone of voice.

  • Regularly review and optimize landing pages to keep content fresh and maintain user engagement.

  • Improve overall quality through practical feedback on the CMS, translation quality, and page layout.

Collaboration & Strategic Partnership

  • Work closely with the entire Korea SEO team to align on goals, priorities, and SEO strategy.

  • Contribute to various SEO activities such as keyword research, competitor analysis, and collaboration with the SEO Generalist.

  • Work with the marketing and community teams to ensure content strategy reflects local market trends and user needs.

  • Share local market insights and user data with the team to inform content direction.

  • Build relationships with various teams and understand how content work contributes to broader business goals.

Staying Ahead of Changes in Search & Discovery

  • Continuously monitor how AI-based platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews are changing search behavior, from the perspective of the Korean market.

  • Distinguish areas where traditional SEO remains effective from areas that require new approaches, and respond strategically.

  • Learn next-generation optimization trends such as GEO/AEO and apply them to the team's strategy.

  • Enjoy experimenting with new content formats and optimization methods as the search environment changes.

  • Share observations and insights on how Korean users discover content with the global team.

Freelance Copywriter Team Building & Management

  • Build and manage a pool of freelance copywriters to scale content production while maintaining quality.

  • Recruit, onboard, and train copywriters on Canva's brand voice and SEO requirements.

  • Create clear content briefs so copywriters can deliver high-quality, on-brand content efficiently.

  • Provide specific and constructive feedback and coaching to help copywriters grow.

  • Encourage copywriters to take ownership of their areas while jointly upholding quality and deadline standards.

  • Build and run a QA process to confirm that freelance content meets Canva's standards before publication.

  • Create an environment where copywriters feel well supported and can do their best work.

AI-Powered Efficiency

  • Actively use AI tools across research, content drafting, and workflows.

  • Identify inefficiencies in existing workflows and lead AI-based improvements.

  • Explore new AI tools and share effective use cases with the whole team.

  • Data-driven: You use insights to drive decisions and demonstrate impact
  • Ownership mindset: You act like it's your business, not just your job
